i had a crush since childhood okay? he and i are the same age, our families are best friends, almost family, so we used to see eachother a lot back then. I remember when we were like 7-8 years old when he told me that he "liked me alot" me of course being a girl just brushed it off as if nothing happened. I just said "uhhh okayyy???" right then and there I knew I had a crush on him. FOR YEARS I only thought of him. We weren't exact friends since we were both from a religious household which meant no boyfriends/male friends. since are both introverts we didn't talk at eachother that much. but since his family and my family were always together I knew what he was like. he. was. PERFECT!
But as we grew older I realized that we gew more and more apart. He usually never leaves his room and I never went into his alone since, as I already said before, that would be weird. He always had that blank expression to his face, I guess bc he was irritadet that he couldm't be left alone when me and his cousins came to visit lol. he would always shout at them to get out, but never me. Yea I know it might be bc he was just polite to me but still, at that time it felt special.
now he only shouted at me once! (long story why) but I KID YOU NOT weeks after that we were alone and...he actually apologized for it. I was so shocked, relieved, confused. so many emotions as to why. Then it clicked.....does he like me back???
We both knew this song. For me this song is so special bc it always reminds me of him. I know that he likes this song too. but weirdly when I asked him if he knew the song he said no....huh???????? why???? I HAVE NO IDEA!! but that was back in 2017.
now...the year is 2019. It was the day where we went to a wedding all together. we youngsters (him his cousin and me) sat on a table and everything was fine. His cousin "kinda talked" while i wasn't listening and....we found out that he might like a different girl....okay yeah you might say "of course he can like someone" butI always knew that he never wanted a gf until he was like, what, 20? his cousin then told me that he won't ever like me, e v e r.
That night I cried for hours and hours, I had to lie to my parents and tell them that my favorite singer had an accident. this was one of the worst nights of my life.
so i moved on. i didn't see him "like that" anymore.
but...i still liked him as a friend. he doesn't have a girlfriend and I am loved by his whole family. he likes me too but only as a friend i think...
this song will forever be one of my favorite songs ever since it perfectly reflects my story.....
maybe yeah one day his parents might suggest to marry him or vice versa but until then i'll listen to this song on repeat.
