The single was released on January 18, 2000, and promptly charted worldwide, becoming a number one hit on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart, peaking at number two on the UK Singles Chart, and crossing over to pop radio and peaking at number six on the Billboard Hot 100. The song remains the band's most successful single to date, being their only song to break the Top 40. The song charted within the top 20 in ten other countries, and gained greater significance due to its accompanying music video, which parodies and mocks the boy bands Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees, and 'N Sync and the pop singers Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. The video was popular in rotation on MTV's Total Request Live, leading to criticism from those who felt their basis for parody was thin.
"All the Small Things" was selected by Rolling Stone as one of the "100 Greatest Pop Songs", and is listed in the 2010 book 1001 Songs You Must Hear Before You Die.

True care, truth brings
I'll take one lift
Your ride, best trip
Always, I know
You'll be at my show
Watching, waiting
Commiserating
Say it ain't so, I will not go
Turn the lights off, carry me home
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na
Late night, come home
Work sucks, I know
She left me roses by the stairs
Surprises let me know she cares
Say it ain't so, I will not go
Turn the lights off, carry me home
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na
Na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na
Say it ain't so, I will not go
Turn the lights off, carry me home
Keep your head still, I'll be your thrill
The night will go on, my little windmill
Say it ain't so, I will not go (na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na)
Keep your head still, I'll be your thrill (na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na)
The night will go on (na-na, na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na)
The night will go on (na-na, na, na)
My little windmill
The lyrics of "All the Small Things" by blink-182 encapsulate a blend of admiration, love, and a sense of devotion towards the small gestures that signify genuine care in a romantic relationship. The opening lines, “All the small things, true care, truth brings,” suggest that even the minor details in a relationship possess profound meaning. The phrase “I'll take one lift, your ride, best trip” implies a willingness to embrace shared experiences, underscoring the joy that comes from being together. This is further enhanced by the lines “Always, I know, you'll be at my show,” which indicates a supportive partner who is present in times where it matters—highlighting the importance of emotional support and companionship. The final words, “watching, waiting, commiserating,” paint a picture of a relationship built on shared experiences, understanding, and being there for each other, no matter the highs and lows.
“Say it ain't so, I will not go” reoccurs prominently throughout the song, serving as a poignant mantra of resistance against separation or the fear of loss. This line conveys a deep emotional struggle; it expresses a sentiment of yearning and a defiance against circumstances that may threaten the relationship. The imagery of “turn the lights off, carry me home” enhances this theme, suggesting a sense of comfort in darkness and the desire for a safe return to love and familiarity. In invoking the combination of “na-na” phrases, the lyrics bring a childlike playfulness to the song that contrasts with its deeper yearning, suggesting that love can also be light and fun in addition to its more serious moments of longing.
In the verses that follow, “Late night, come home, work sucks, I know,” there emerges a relatable aspect of daily life and the weariness associated with everyday challenges. This realism is further emphasized by “She left me roses by the stairs,” which symbolizes the thoughtful surprises that keep love vibrant. It’s through these small gestures that one feels worthy and cared for, translating the mundane struggles of life into something worth celebrating. Roses, typically a symbol of romance, imbue a sense of sweetness in an otherwise monotonous existence, suggesting that love can flourish even amidst life's chaos.
The concluding lines emphasize a whimsical yet profound connection: “Keep your head still, I'll be your thrill, the night will go on, my little windmill.” Here, the notion of “thrill” suggests the excitement and fun that accompany the relationship, while “little windmill” could signify a sense of stability and grounding in love. Windmills can symbolize hope, dreams, and the gentle turn of life’s winds—as the night continues on, so does the bond between the two lovers. The repetition of “Say it ain't so, I will not go” reinforces the resilience of their connection in the face of adversity. Overall, the song captures the essence of cherishing simple moments, feeling secure in love, and finding joy amid life’s complexities, making it an anthem for both tender feelings and youthful exuberance.

Yo i feel you. Welcome to the Blink182 world my friend.. from now on you'll understand what severe addiction really is.. you'll listen to their songs and watch to their videos to exhaustion, over and over again.. you'll probably dream that you met them in person and are hanging out / having a good time with one or more of them.
You'll discover that you were born gifted with a great talent related to music.. and that is: when you hear songs you have the ability to learn and remember songs lyrics VERY fast.... Blink182 songs lyrics to be more specific.
This band means so much for so many people, me included.. i literally learned how to play guitar, bass and drums because of them, and i can play +-80% of their songs on each instrument.
I'm a brazilian and unfortunelly Blink182 never came to Brazil.
When they were at their peak they were coming to Brazil to play some shows but a few days before it happens Travis hurted one of his feet and couldnt play the drums for some weeks.. so they had to cancel the shows in Brazil.
But it's ok... i'm grateful for having access to all of their songs and videos on the internet.

Unless you were 6 when this was released and jammed out to it on your best friend neighbors cd player. My mom bought me a light blue boom box you could use either batteries or the cord to play this cd. I wish music still sounded like this. Rock is dead
