Dammit
blink-182 Lyrics
It's alright to tell me what you think about me
I won't try to argue or hold it against you
I know that you're leaving, you must have your reasons
The season is calling, your pictures are falling down
The steps that I retrace, the sad look on your face
The timing and structure, did you hear he fucked her?
A day late, a buck short, I'm writing the report
On losing and failing, when I move, I'm flailing now
I'll turn to a friend
Someone that understands
Sees through the master plan
But everybody's gone
And I've been here for too long
To face this on my own
Well, I guess this is growing up
Well, I guess this is growing up
And maybe I'll see you at a movie sneak preview
You'll show up and walk by on the arm of that guy
And I'll smile and you'll wave, we'll pretend it's okay
The charade, it won't last, when he's gone I won't come back
And it'll happen once again
You'll turn to a friend
Someone that understands
And sees through the master plan
But everybody's gone
And you've been there for too long
To face this on your own
Well, I guess this is growing up
Well, I guess this is growing up
Well, I guess this is growing up
Well, I guess this is growing up
Well, I guess this is growing up
Well, I guess this is growing up

Dammit" is the first single by Blink-182 from their second album Dude Ranch. It was the song which gave them their first hit on the Billboard Modern Rock Track Chart. It was sung entirely by Mark Hoppus in the studio recording, but Tom DeLonge usually sings the chorus in live performances. The song concerns a fictional breakup between the writer and his girlfriend.

What you think about me
I won't try to argue
Or hold it against you
I know that your leavin
You must have your reasons
The season is callin
Your pictures are fallin down
The steps that I retrace
The sad look on your face
The timing, and structure
Did you hear that he fucked her?
A day late, a buck short
I'm writing the report
On losing, and failing
When I move, I'm flailing now
And it's happened once again
I'll turn to a friend
Someone that understands
Sticks to the masterplan
But everybody's gone
And I've been here for too long
To face this on my own
Well I guess this is growing up

Sending blessings to Mark in his battle with cancer. Honoring him by listening to all of Blink's classics.

To me this is probably the best Mark has ever sounded on a blink track. With a slightly more raw and angrier delivery

Punk isn‘t dead, this newcomers are the proof. Sounds a lil bit like Blink and I definitely like it. Check out their new music video: https://youtu.be/oUEMl9ZZkD8

@Matt Allen agreed. What do you think of 'Depends'?
I know it's a joke track but he honestly sounds great in his verse 😆
ippo. tsk
Yo I remember this being my first Blink song, and I was sooooo disappointed when I learned that Mark doesn't normally sing like this lmao. It's especially funny 'cause his voice here is like very typical of what you'd imagine a pop-punk singer to sound like.
