for ur reference, the puzzle that appear here are based on Morse Code, the FIrst Puzzle on the Video are the Morse for W and U, the Second one is the morse code for A, R and G. the third one is the morse code for G and R, the rotation for the short one is rotating the wheel mechanism to the right and the long to the left. its basically like this=

This is commonly used across games like uncharted. And Breath of the Wild.

Now this is an easy version of this. But the complaint isn't about it being easy. It's about it being too hard or the game not having directions.
Which is false.

My guy, people are complaining about a puzzle that literally tells you what you need to do. You even admit this yourself.
Do you really think it would be better if you then have to discover the items on top of that.

The should made the puzzles much clearer though because it not hard just annoying especially the mona one since you can easily get disoriented. They should have made the puzzle have a bit more contrast than their surroundings so it will be much easier to see. I know it more aestheticly pleasing for the colour to blend but it just hurt my eyes especially when i play on my phone when i cannot see shit at all.

After playing this event the first golden archipelago was way more better than this one. I can't really figure out why this one doesn't feel as good, but maybe its because of the whole feeling of the event ig? The first golden archipelago really felt like a summer vacation of some sort, while this one doesn't really feel like a summer event and more of, ig story quests. It's nice to have some backstory to characters like Xinyan and Fischl who didn't get much before this, but it easily could've been done with hangout events instead of using this event. It kind of just ruined the whole summer vibe it had last time

Hoyoverse probably did this, because last time a lot of people were complaining that it was too easy, and that there was nothing there that they could do etc. So they did this :] take it as mh.. revenge maybe? I mean it's clear that hoyoverse can't make everyone happy, but like rn, even in sumeru, they get a lot of hate and get called lazy etc, even tho they're not. If they are lazy why would they even do so much in sumeru, and yes, I indeed find it really frustrating with the puzzles too. So this is no critique. I feel like almost everyone in this comment section so don't bother attacking me just because I'm stating what I'm thinking. Yes the puzzles this year are very.. hard and not really fun. But maybe now that they've seen that many players can't really solve them without help, they'll maybe change it next time if they do the golden apple archipelago again. Why this one doesn't feel as good??? Because this one is nothing but chore after chore after chore.... nothing is fun on this second part, just 5 hours+ of text wall and annoying puzzles.

At least the first one had some mini games with beach balls and could coop with a friend, this second part is 2/10 at best.

This puzzle was 0/10. There are no tutorials in the beginning. Blue wire is blurred and I can't see the right pattern, it is just the same color pattern if you turn from left to right

For those still confused. On the map you get for the quest it shows --. That means left left right. Dots are right, dashes are left. Then you just have to find the right control ball thing that matches the location on the map

I think the issue with these puzzles is that there is no visual indication that what you are doing has any effect on the outcome. I had to look at comments to see that you look in the manuscript for the solutions but that doesn't help much since there's no feed back on what you're doing. These puzzles really needed another run of testing.

I remembered the map, from the dialogue, I’m just talking about people who are complaining about not knowing anything and trash talking the game because they skipped the dialogue.

I actually liked most of the quests, except i wanted more just overall chats between the characters and funny interactions like in the very beginning of the main quest where mona and fishcl were having a swimming contest, stuff like that.

I liked most of these quests too! I think they had a good balance between interesting cutscenes, character development, and puzzles. Hoyoverse clearly put in effort into making the puzzles thought-provoking and making the conversations engaging. Plus, the environments were so pretty especially for Fischl and Mona's mirages. I think the past 3 events have been pretty good. Less mindless npc interactions and more character backstory.

To those still struggling to find the pattern
Look at the map in there we can see which device needs to be rotated how many times in which direction
There is short line and long lines
One for right ,one for left just follow that pattern

I think the problem with this puzzle would be solved if Paimon just reminded us to look at the manuscript as we approach it. I sat down to it the next day and had completely forgotten about the researcher’s notes!

I was searching for a yellow dot or an obvious solution to solve these puzzles. You know, like how you have solved every other puzzle in this game up to this point. It just became a habbit.

This puzzle might not have been nearly as frustrating if they had explained it a little better. I had no idea what you were supposed to do with the mechanisms but once you understand that you're supposed to be lining the two cubes up so they rotate in the same way, it makes it a little easier to understand what you need to do. Still not a great puzzle mechanic, but Genshin's puzzle mechanics in general are always a bit clunky.

Just had the brief realization that this wasn't as difficult as I thought. Once you can properly see the map, and follow what they mean by the small dots( turn right) and long dots(turn left) it becomes incredibly easy to follow. Wow, who knew skipping dialogue mindlessly could bite you in the arse.

Omg this puzzle seemed so difficult at first. I didn’t watch the whole video but figured the cube doesn’t really move - was expecting some sort of movement or indication but it’s very easy once you figured out what to do. Literally it’s an ‘exactly what it says on the tin’ puzzle. Look at the map and follow the directions of the symbols for each rotation point.

the problem with this puzzle is that very few quests in the game actually require you to go back into your inventory to look at something after picking something up. its almost a foreign concept since Paimon half the time will speed run an entire novel you were just presented to read and probably remind you when you get to the area anyway.

my issue with this is that it tells you to look in your inventory at the manuscript, which im pretty sure i missed after fighting my cat from jumping on the counter, and it does not tell you to do that once you are in the quest area, only when you are outside of it if youre pressing the quest button. once you do that, yes it is incredibly easy to do unless you literally do anything else in the few seconds its telling you what to look at lmao.

with that said, the order gets wonky if you had already been spinning like a madman. I think it locks in a correct spin and takes it from there regardless of how many wrong times you do it after.

This event wasn't fun at all, the story bored me to my core, kazuha's backstory was a bit more interesting but this time-limited event had more backstory on kazuha's character than kazuha's actual story quest, the puzzles were god-awful that it burned me out of genshin for a couple of days, the character interactions felt so odd- mona and fischl's interactions were funny tbh but paired with xinyan and kazuha felt like such a huge miss. I was present during the first golden apple archipelago event as a low level player and it was so fun, the minigames and the story were great aswell.

Idk man compared to the previous patch (2.7) that was filled with fun puzzles and a story on par with both of albedo's event story quest it just felt like such a huge downfall imo.

Does anyone have an explanation as to what changes when you rotate? I’m paying too much attention to when they rotate rather than what’s changing.

This video will just confuse you, check the manuscript and in the right bottom of the picture you can see the hint on how many turns you should do.

If yall think this golden archipelago is stressful, you guys won't be ready for sumeru. Pretty sure hoyov gave this as a preparation for 3.0, same with how 1.8 was somehow a preparation for inazuma.

Here's an actual guide on this puzzle, instead of a video that doesn't explain anything.

You have an item in your inventory named " Persikov's Manuscript". Open it up, and it tells you the combinations that you need to spin the balls to solve the puzzle.
Dots = Right
Lines = Left

I thought it was going to be hard but all i did was press left a couple of times and press right when i press left 2 or 3 times and it worked surprisingly I didn’t even need to read the manuscript

I ended up doing it without thinking and just blindly pressing the buttons and switching from one station to another, and managed to finish it:/ it's worse than Mona's domain but also better

for thou who don't know when you 1st pick up the map you take from him 0:05
he have a guide on it (at the right bottom corner)
"-" mean "rotated to left"
"." mean "roated to right"
so ". - -" mean rotated to right once then left twice
follow it and it find this is what happen when you skip everything and don't look
EDIT: SO NEXT TIMES DON'T SKIP THING LOOK FOR ONCE
