Yes. This is one of the few, true, best-in-slot weapons you can make in a reasonable way by act one nightmare.

Nightmare Countess can gift the runes, and Normal Act 2 wand merchant can gift the wand.

Reload Normal Act II until the entrance is on the East side, and then wander in and out of the city, checking the merchant each time.

Socket the best white wand you find with the socket quest.

3 straightforward steps and a bit of gold and the socket quest sacrifice is very little to ask for an ultimate weapon.

(Not a normal or burnt wand. Make sure it's a wand that can support 2 sockets... the bone wand works)

I think Hoto Is Objectively the best weapon for a hammerdin, Alternatively you could use a Wizard Spike that is also a popular option.

As for Armor I am pretty sure most hammerdins stick with Skin of The Viper Magi to hit that magic Faster Cast breakpoint. Although there might be better options, there are very few options that will result in the oh so sweet 125% Faster Cast that Hammerdins seek

Yea, very underrated runeword. I made a +6 poison nova and +6 bone armor. Can't remember the other +3 skill that was also on the wand but it was basically a 3 x +3 skills grey 2 socket wand.

Right now, I have a bone wand with 3 bone spear, and a head with 2. So basically I can have 10 to bone spear with a white and a rhyme. I could get technically 11 with a splendor, but then I would loose a lot of all res.
Edit: It is very important to search for bone wand and not Yew wand from Drognan. Yew wand can only roll 1 os. You can waste a Larzuk quest with this mistake.
One more thing: If you only interested in bone spear, then it is best to shop for it before you reach lvl 18. So you only need to check the bone wands with dark color background. You can save a lot of time.

Found a great wand with 2 sockets during my sorc run and stashed it away. Having a hard time giving white up too, I feel spirit would be a better route, but I like lobbing bone spears while my summons do their thing (even if they're low damage, my summon necro is lvl 54).

I did shop my wand at level 13

The level you wand shop Does change what skills they can get also level 1 skills can’t spawn with level 24,30 skills so skeleton mastery and raise skeleton can’t spawn with revives but interestingly that +4 skeleton mastery does give a big bonus to revives so if you did have a base with at least +1 revives the bones spear wand might let you get like really good revives with literally 0points put into summoning cause +4 skeleton mastery is 20% damadge right their

Note The skill revive is Not shopable has to be found

I picked up two two slotted bases. One is +2 to Bonespear +2 to Corsp Explosion +1 Bonearmor 15% enhanced damage. As well as +1to Skelton Mastery, +1 Golem mastery, +1 Skeltons and +1 Corspe Explosion.

Just keep entering the first zone and run back to npc if you don't get a roll you want. I took like 20 minutes each time until I got something decent I could use already with two open slots.

9:58 coolio(i think that's the name) the youtuber find a plus 3 to bonespear, plus 2 to bonespirit, plus 3 to lower resist and he didn't waested a single point into curses, with the poison and bone necro, so he was good at poisoning the enemy with poison nova and piercing them with bonespear in PVP destroying many meta builds.

Bonespear +3 is the best wand in my opinion. I currently have a necro with +8 to bonespear. Just sad bonespear make bad dmg 😑 i have all except annihilus and currently on + 34 to bone Spear. But it doesnt even make over 10k dmg per spear wich I feel is a robbery..
9 skillers with PBS, torch+3. Shako+2,armor BONE+2 crafted amu with fcr and +2, boneflame+3, double soj+2, arach+1 and white+8 bonespear.

Bonespear is an aoe skill, it's not meant to do over 10k damage.

It hits everything in it's path and magic damage is mostly unresistable.

Bonespears strength is in that is pierces, it's meant for large groups.

If you search at lvl 17 you only need to look at red wands for bone spear and it has to be a bone wand not yew or other

@R2-D2 like GGM says make sure it's normal difficulty not nightmare or hell. After act 4 normal all vendors stop selling non magical items. The trick to easily spot the wand won't work after lvl 17 but you can still get them.

@Ginger Gaming Mentor oh I know but leaf is 2 handed. I'm looking for a blue orb (volcanic) with +3 enchant rolled natively. Feels a lot like searching for a perfect runeword base while not being the exact same.
Leaf gets me 6 in both slots. Spirit and said orb get me 8. Got the +3 circlet and ammy already. Just kiting her out as I find the stuff I want to hit something like 50 enchant before I go all tele zealot on everything for fun. It should also be excellent for power leveling friend's characters.

Only white bases. +3 poison and bone only occurs on blue wands.

uhm... I think you aren't aware of three things:
1. You can get white or grey items from vendors ONLY IN FIRST AND SECOND ACT.
2. White and grey wands are always to the left of the items in shop, from up to down. Once you got a first blue, you can stop checking for more to the right.
3. If you're trying to get a base for bone spear specificaly, you can limit yourself to finding only +3 to bone spear, because only this will strenghten the actual bone spear skill's damage. It's synergies such as teeth, bone wall or bone spirit won't count. The reason is, the game don't count synergies from additional item properties as a bonus to skills' damage. Only hard points spended in skill trees are counted towards synergies. I feel like a lot of people don't know that. Same is with Leaf runeword. If you're trying to make a pure fireball sorceress, you can find a base that has only +3 to fireball, because +3 to fireball AND +3 to firebalt will give you only +3 to actual damage of fireball. Fact check that if you want, my mind was blown when I learned about it.

I think finding a wand with 3 skills in +3 that just happen to be the skills you covet are exceedingly rare. On top of that, it must have 2 sockets. Since White will never be the end game wand for any type of necromancer, the amount of effort and time to find that perfect base is hardly justifiable. Also, you need to be Level 35 in order to use White. By this time, there are a plenty of unique wands that are quite easy to acquire and to carry you over until getting the end game equipment. By the way, a socket quest should be used only for the end game equipment making not for some interim items in my opinion.

I mean you are kinda forgetting white is a best in slot item for bone spear necromancers.

Also it's not about deliberately farming for it, it's about finding one and recognizing it's usefulness.

Furthermore you just pointed out how exceedingly rare they are, which by definition makes them a good candidate for the guaranteed 2 sockets from larzuk.

The last thing you would wanna do with an exceedingly rare item like that is waste it.
