You know who's this!
Daddy Yankee!
De la isla del cangrinaje!
You know how we do, man!
C'mon!
(Oh, oh!) Ten cuida'o con el pirata del Caribe
(Oh, oh!) Aquí en la calle el más fuerte sobrevive
(Oh, oh!) Entre los grandes mi nombre se escribe
Zone da gangsta
Esto si es el mundo real
Mai, llegaron los players
Yal, muével (oh, oh!)
Zone da gangsta
Todos mis soldados let's right
Por eso ellas se pegan
Ma', muévelo (oh, oh!)
Damas y caballeros, voy a paso ligero
Muévete chama, c'mon shake it up, momma

The lyrics of Daddy Yankee’s “Gangsta Zone” are full of statements and affirmations of power, dominance, and victory. It starts with a declaration of the artist's identity from "De la isla del cangrinaje" (from the island of the rebels) followed by a warning to take care of the Caribbean pirate and to see if the listener has the caliber. Throughout the song, he highlights the fact that the strongest survives in the street, and he is among the greats whose name is written, portraying his presence and power in the Gangsta Zone. The chorus itself is a call to action, urging both men and women to move and shake; this can be interpreted as a sign of the artist's persuasive and charismatic nature or his desire to control the environment.
At some point, the artist refers to his humble beginnings and how he transformed his situation to one using his fighting spirit and faith, metaphorically describing himself as a warrior. Daddy Yankee also talks about how the streets call him, how he moves calmly, and how he hunts women, metaphorically offering them fire. The second verse features Snoop Dogg, who adds to the heavy reference to gangster culture – stating that he is the gangster Mack – and makes the song grittier with his confident and braggadocious lyrics.
Overall, the song is a declaration of power and representation of gangsta culture, aimed at glorifying and consolidating street credibility in celebrations of gangster lifestyles to cement their power in the communities they serve.
