I'm the boss (jefe)
I'm the boss (DY)
I'm the boss
The big, the big boss
I'm the boss (you know)
I'm the boss (D-D-DY)
The big, the big boss
Haciendo cash me guardan tributo (yes)
Chamaco te repito no seas bruto (bobo)
(Oh, ¿quien soy?)
I'm the boss (el jefe ¿oíste?)
I'm the boss (paga los intereses)
I'm the boss (que por mi tú eres artista)
The big, the big boss (the boss)
I'm the boss (Mr. Presidente)
I'm the boss (jaja, the alsache)
I'm the boss (ustedes me conocen ya)
The big, the big boss (jodi'o bonitero)
Ey, Daddy no cae, Nazza no cae
Papi, that's right, floto bien high
Daddy no cae, Nazza no cae
Papi, that's right, floto bien high
(Oh my god, ¿quien soy?)
I'm the boss (el Daddy, papi)
I'm the boss (Mr. President)
I'm the boss (papo ruleta)
The big, the big boss (el sueldoso)
I'm the boss (jaja)
I'm the boss (guilla'era, papi)
I'm the boss (¿que vas hacer?)

In Daddy Yankee's song "I'm The Boss," the Puerto Rican rapper boasts about his success and wealth. The song opens with the phrase "I'm the boss" repeated three times, followed by "the big, the big boss." In the first verse, Daddy Yankee addresses those who doubt his rise to fame, stating that his family thought money did not come easy. He then criticizes other rappers who talk tough, knowing that with a credit card, he can buy whatever he desires. The chorus repeats the phrase "I'm the boss" three more times, followed by a series of epithets from “mister president” to “guillaera pape."
In the second verse, Daddy Yankee mentions how he has more wealth than his contemporaries who boast about their mansions and luxury vehicles. He highlights the fact that he can earn in a minute what they earn in ten, and he has invested his wealth in properties. The chorus repeats, introducing new nicknames for the rapper, such as "el pruleta" and "el culetoso." In the third verse, he mentions that he was baptized with platinum, implying his massive wealth. He also states that the street and the neighborhood made him who he is, and his nickname, "the boss," was given to him long ago. He ends the song with a message to his detractors, saying they are like flies dreaming of being eagles, while he continues to reign as the king.
