In 2002 El Cangri.com became Ayala's first album with international success, receiving coverage in the markets of New York and Miami. Barrio Fino was released in 2004, and the album received numerous awards, including a Premio Lo Nuestro and a Latin Billboard, as well as receiving nominations for the Latin Grammy and MTV Video Music Awards. Barrio Fino performed well in the sales charts of the United States, Latin America, Europe, and Japan. Outside of his work as a musician, Ayala has also worked as an actor and producer. Estoy 100000% seguro de que en este género JAMAS habrá alguien que Reemplace y/o logre mas, que lo que ha logrado Daddy Yankee.
Para el "bastante" tiempo que lleva el cangri en la música y para la edad que tiene, se admira que siga haciendo música que cautive a millones de jóvenes,
y también es increíble ver que alguien a su edad vista verdaderamente Fino & Elegante. Daddy Yankee ya es una leyenda, hasta en Japón y Dubai esta pegao'.
Y ni hablar de su humildad, tantas fundaciones a las que ha ayudado, (sin contar las propias de él). Y para los que critican el "Reggaeton", saben que? Yo crecí escuchando Reggaeton, soy de "barrio" (como muchos le llaman), crecí con bajos recursos, de chamaquito yendo para fiestas a gozar de un buen perreo (cosas de adolescentes), pero que creen? Ahora mismo vivo en New York, soy un estudiante de la Universidad, ya casi termino mi carrera de 6 años, fui aceptado recientemente por una compañía privada, aun no estoy casado, no tengo hijos, vivo bastante bien (económicamente hablando), pertenezco a un grupo que ayuda a las personas que viven en la calle y tengo muchas metas mas por concluir... y todo esto logrado mientras ESCUCHABA REGGAETON para motivarme.
