They boast of their expertise in listening, having completed six semesters of "Lauschen" (listening) and achieved a third degree in "Gehör-Kung-Fu" (a play on words combining "Gehörschutz" - hearing protection - and "Kung Fu"). The singer sympathizes with the hardships of others and offers to lend an ear, promising to provide a "Runde Mitleid," or a round of empathy, to those who need it.
The next verse describes how the singer listens to someone as they reminisce about their childhood. The singer nods in agreement, hanging on to every word.
