You give your soul so sweetly
Tonight the light of love is in your eyes
But will you love me tomorrow
Is this a lasting treasure
Or just a moment's pleasure
Can I believe the magic in your sighs
Tonight with words unspoken
You say that I'm the only one
But will my heart be broken
When the night meets the morning sun
I'd like to know if your love
Is a love I can be sure of
So tell me now and I won't ask again
Will you still love me tomorrow
Will you still love me tomorrow
Will you still love me tomorrow
The song "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" is sung by The Shirelles and was written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King. The song is told from the perspective of a woman who has shared an intimate moment with her partner, but is now questioning whether their love is just a fleeting moment or a lasting relationship. The woman is seeking reassurance and wants to know if her partner's love for her is real and if it will last beyond the night. The repetition of the central question "Will you still love me tomorrow?" emphasizes the woman's anxiety and vulnerability.
This song is a classic example of 1960s pop music and is often regarded as one of the greatest songs of all time. The song was released in 1960 and became a massive hit, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It has since been covered by numerous artists, including Carole King herself, Roberta Flack, and Amy Winehouse.
