1. El… Read Full Bio ↴There are at least two different bands/artists with this name.
1. Eleven:Eleven are four guys from the South East coast of England on a mission to bring energetic punk rock back to the forefront of popular music. They fuse dance beats over roaring guitars whilst still maintaining a powerful edge. They love what they do and it shows when they rock stages up and down the UK.
They take influence from bands such as ALL TIME LOW, PARAMORE, MXPX, FALL OUT BOY, SUM 41, DUMDUMS, BOYS LIKE GIRLS, MAYDAY PARADE, JIMMY EAT WORLD, 30 SECONDS TO MARS, ALLISTER, LOSTPROPHETS, THE BLACKOUT, PANIC AT THE DISCO, THE STARTING LINE, SIMPLE PLAN, MADINA LAKE, KIDS IN GLASS HOUSES, GUNS N ROSES, ALKALINE TRIO, THE OFFSPRING, NEW FOUND GLORY, BLINK-182, ALL AMERICAN REJECTS, GREEN DAY and countless others to create our sound whilst still remaining an original and distinctive band.
Achievements to date include winning the Invicta FM Battle Of The Bands 2009 (beating over 80 bands in the process with the song 'Falling'), touring with Elliot Minor on their first UK tour in 2007 under the name Shibby to sold out venues and playing alongside rock legends such as Feeder and Ash at the Hevy Festival (hevy.co.uk). Also, the song 'Everlast' is featured in the 2010 movie 11:11 and 'Fake A Smile' appears on the free compilation Alter The Press!, which can be found at alterthepress.com and includes many awesome bands. The future holds many more tours which they hope you'll come to and enjoy just as much as we do. They're always up for playing new places so message the band if you can offer them a gig or two.
2. Eleven Eleven was an indie-rock band from the Louisville, KY area. After a self released demo cassette they released one full album in 1994 ("Star City") through Doghouse Records. The Band consisted of Jason Cabell "Digger" Skaggs (bass and vocals, also playing bass for Gold Jacket Club and Elliott ), Jeff Tucker (guitar) and Kyle Crabtree (drums, also playing for Endpoint, Shipping News, Metroschifter and King's Daughters & Sons).
So High
eleven eleven Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
For you I'd die a thousand times
I could disappear in you
I could disappear in you
Swallowing my darkness as you shine
How does it feel to be so high
Lift my head up to see you
I will be here beneath you
I'll throw a line to you
And watch it taken by the wind
And you smile and float away
And you smile and float away
Slipping through my fingers once again
How does it feel to be so high
Lift my head up to see you
And if the day comes when you fall
I will be here beneath you
How does it feel to be
How does it feel to be
How does it feel to be so high
You've given my eyes a place to die
The lyrics of “So High” by eleven eleven are reflective of a love that is all-encompassing and all-consuming. The singer is deeply in love with their partner, to the point where they are willing to die for them multiple times over. The line “You've given my eyes a place to die” suggests that the singer can die happy knowing that they have found true love in their partner’s eyes. The repeated line “I could disappear in you” reinforces this idea of complete surrender to their love.
The chorus of the song asks the question “How does it feel to be so high?”, implying that the love between the two is so intense that it is almost a drug. The singer feels lifted up and elevated by their partner’s love. The line “And if the day comes when you fall, I will be here beneath you” suggests a deep sense of loyalty and devotion. The singer is willing to catch their partner if they fall from their lofty heights.
However, there is also a sense of sadness and resignation in the lyrics. The line “Slipping through my fingers once again” suggests that the singer has had experience with losing love in the past. Despite the intensity of their current love, they are aware that it may also slip away from them eventually. The repeated line “And you smile and float away” suggests that this is a familiar feeling for the singer.
