For one OVA to accomplish in 6 episodes what most series try so hard to do in 100+ is nothing short of Genius. 20 years, and its still one of the most compelling pieces of work next to EVA.

Edward Fye tear jerker is the half of it. the music of gunbuster touches my very soul. that bit in episode 5 when the girls come home has me in floods of tears every time
