It's fun to lose and to pretend
She's over-bored and self-assured
Oh no, I know a dirty word
Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello, how low
With the lights out, it's less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us
A mulatto, an albino, a mosquito, my libido
Yeah, hey
I'm worse at what I do best
And for this gift I feel blessed
Our little group has always been
And always will until the end
Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello
With the lights out, it's less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us
A mulatto, an albino, a mosquito, my libido
Yeah, hey
And I forget just why I taste
Oh yeah, I guess it makes me smile
I found it hard, it's hard to find
Oh well, whatever, never mind
Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello, how low
Hello, hello, hello
With the lights out, it's less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us
A mulatto, an albino, a mosquito, my libido
A denial, a denial, a denial, a denial, a denial
A denial, a denial, a denial, a denial
The song "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by i.D.D.Q.D is a hauntingly beautiful depiction of teenage angst and rebellion. At its core, the song is about the power and allure of youth, and the desire to break free from the constraints of the adult world. The lyrics describe a group of disaffected young people who find solace and excitement in their own nihilistic rebellion against the status quo.
The opening lines, "Load up on guns, bring your friends / It's fun to lose and to pretend" set the tone for the rest of the song. The singer seems to revel in his own sense of alienation and disillusionment, eagerly seeking out new ways to escape the boredom and conformity of everyday life. At the same time, however, he is aware of the fact that his rebellion is ultimately self-destructive, and that his defiance is more about posturing than anything else.
The chorus, "With the lights out, it's less dangerous / Here we are now, entertain us / I feel stupid and contagious / Here we are now, entertain us" is one of the most memorable and evocative in all of rock music. It captures the feeling of being young and restless, of wanting to be noticed and appreciated by others, of wanting to feel like you belong somewhere. The repetition of the line "Hello, hello, hello, how low" is both eerie and hypnotic, adding to the overall sense of disorientation and disaffection that characterizes the song.

Thanks for these videos. Very helpful. One thing I don't understand. At 2.25 your Imager plugin shows mono. How? According to the path diagram in the Reaper manual, the mono button on the master buss is one of the last things in the signal path before output. My Reaper acts like that - the mono button is useless if I want to see the result on any visualisers. I have to set-up a pre-master channel, and change the width on that, so that the visualisers on the master buss display the change. Which I've always thought was really stupid. But in this video, your mono button is working like I feel it should.
