1.… Read Full Bio ↴There are many artists named Ike. Some of the prominent ones are:
1. A deep house producer on Stuttgart label Philpot. Most of the similar tags are related to this artist.
2. A hip-hop producer.
3. An Italian electro jazz project.
4. A Japanese singer-songwriter.
5. The power pop project of Delaware & Philly-based singer-songwriter-guitarist John Faye, formerly of The Caulfields. Working with guitarist Cliff Hillis, bassist Joann Schmidt and drummer Dave Anthony, The John Faye Power Trip was released in 1999. The collaboration eventually lead to the quartet adopting a unified band name, IKE, and the first full-length under this moniker, Parallel Universe, was self-released in 2003. With the quarter firmly planted in the Philadelphia scene, the album sold nearly 5000 copies, largely on the strength of "Deathbed (Na, Na, Na)", a minor radio hit in the area. During and after a period of what the band described as the members creeping into adulthood, it took nearly a year to record the follow-up, In Real Life. Finally released in the summer of 2005, the band scored a hit on local station WMMR with "Into Philadelphia", now used as the entrance song for several of the city's sports teams. Although Hillis left the band in 2007 to focus on his solo career, they released another record, Where to Begin in January 2008, scoring another local hit with "We Like Sugar". After Schmidt and Anthony left the band for other pursuits in 2008, the band announced an indefinite hiatus in an email sent to fans in October 2008. This status was surprisingly rescinded the following month, however, when Faye announced that the remaining bandmembers had decided to soldier on and were already demoing material for a new album. With permanent replacements Brett Talley (guitar), Susie Steen (bass) and Tommy Kristich (drums) on board, Tie the Knot with All That You've Got was finally released in January 2010.

Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, but hey, hey
One more time, tell me 'bout it
He's got me smilin' when I should be ashamed
Got me laughing when my heart is in pain
Oh no, I must be a fool
'Cause I'll do anything he's wants me to do, now come
Tell me one more time
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, but hey, hey
One more time, tell me 'bout it
Listen, without my man I don't wanna live
Y'all think that I'm lying but I'm telling you like it is
He's got my nose open that's no lie but
I'm gonna keep him satisfied
Tell me one more time
Whoa how come, tell me how come
Tell me one more time
Tell me 'bout it
Uh huh, a wave of action speaks louder than words
The truest thing that I ever heard
Trust my man and all that he do
And I'll do anything he wants me to do, how come
Tell me one more time
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Tell me one more time, everybody
Tell me now
Tell me one more time
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Tell me one more time, everybody
C'mon and tell me one more time
How come, whoa how come
Said how come
In Ike & Tina Turnerβs song βA Fool in Love,β the lyrics describe a woman who is deeply in love with a man who may not deserve her love. Despite the fact that this man has caused her pain and shame, she cannot resist doing anything he wants her to do. The lyrics suggest that this woman may be acting foolishly by living for a man who may not be worth her love. She is willing to overlook his flaws and mistakes, and she expresses her loyalty to him publicly.
Throughout the song, the woman describes her love for this man in a way that is both honest and vulnerable. She admits that her love for him got the best of her, even when she knows that she should have acted differently. Even when others doubt her love for this man, she declares that she cannot live without him. The lyrics convey a sense of desperation and confusion in this womanβs life as she struggles to come to terms with her feelings for a man who may not be worthy of her love.
In conclusion, βA Fool in Loveβ is a powerful song about the complexities and dangers of love. It highlights the emotional turmoil that can come with loving someone who may not deserve your love. Through the lyrics, the listener is confronted with the painful reality of the womanβs situation, and they are encouraged to reflect on their own experiences with love and heartbreak.
