1.… Read Full Bio ↴There are many artists named Ike. Some of the prominent ones are:
1. A deep house producer on Stuttgart label Philpot. Most of the similar tags are related to this artist.
2. A hip-hop producer.
3. An Italian electro jazz project.
4. A Japanese singer-songwriter.
5. The power pop project of Delaware & Philly-based singer-songwriter-guitarist John Faye, formerly of The Caulfields. Working with guitarist Cliff Hillis, bassist Joann Schmidt and drummer Dave Anthony, The John Faye Power Trip was released in 1999. The collaboration eventually lead to the quartet adopting a unified band name, IKE, and the first full-length under this moniker, Parallel Universe, was self-released in 2003. With the quarter firmly planted in the Philadelphia scene, the album sold nearly 5000 copies, largely on the strength of "Deathbed (Na, Na, Na)", a minor radio hit in the area. During and after a period of what the band described as the members creeping into adulthood, it took nearly a year to record the follow-up, In Real Life. Finally released in the summer of 2005, the band scored a hit on local station WMMR with "Into Philadelphia", now used as the entrance song for several of the city's sports teams. Although Hillis left the band in 2007 to focus on his solo career, they released another record, Where to Begin in January 2008, scoring another local hit with "We Like Sugar". After Schmidt and Anthony left the band for other pursuits in 2008, the band announced an indefinite hiatus in an email sent to fans in October 2008. This status was surprisingly rescinded the following month, however, when Faye announced that the remaining bandmembers had decided to soldier on and were already demoing material for a new album. With permanent replacements Brett Talley (guitar), Susie Steen (bass) and Tommy Kristich (drums) on board, Tie the Knot with All That You've Got was finally released in January 2010.

The lyrics in Ike & Tina Turner's song "I Idolize You" express the singer's deep admiration and attraction towards someone they view as their perfect match. The opening lines suggest that the singer is willing to provide their lover with everything they desire, including affection and physical intimacy. They express a desire for attention and the acknowledgment of their love interest, which they believe would be enough to sustain the relationship. The second verse, "I would like to make love to you when the lights are low and I would like to scream to you, baby, just to let him know," highlights the singer's passion and desire to be with their lover in every possible way. The chorus reinforces the idea that the person being sung to is seen as an idol, someone the singer regards with great admiration and respect.
The verses following the chorus speak to the same notion of longing and admiration. The singer suggests that the mere thought of their lover is enough to sustain their affection and devotion. They also acknowledge the potential thrill of being with the person they admire, the possibility of being able to provide them with comfort and companionship. Overall, the lyrics express a deep attraction and devotion towards the subject of the song, epitomized by the repeated refrain of "I idolize you."

I hung out with Ike once and we sort of mind-melded. He is largely credited with inventing Rock 'N Roll in Rocket 88.

Tina Turner back when she was more a "blues shouter" than the smooth popular artist she became. On this, the day of her death, I can honestly say that "We idolized you".

I remember this song she was still very young when she sang this song cause I was a child. Could have still been in her teens. I goggled it she was about 20 or 21 when she sang this song. My sisters and I used to sit on the front porch and sing this song.
