you can't freeze the named mimics at all, so doing the hunt contract will not work to get freezes if that's why you're looking for mimics.

Infested strongholds are the way

Only thing with using this for challenges. When you do the target contract they don't register. I'm on act 2 and have to freeze 5 mimics and only free roaming ones worm or at strongholds

For someone reason I can’t find mimics anywhere. I’ve tried multiple bounty contracts and infested strongholds. In the low threat zone and medium threat zone. I just ran around and in hopes of running into one. It’s always manglers. Like every damn time. The first couple days after launch I would see mimics and no manglers. Now it’s flipped. I’m really at my wits end here. I just want to get through my camo challenges.

I think it’s bugged I use the field upgrade and the mimics don’t get frozen and I’ve tried being right on top of them and a little bit away from them

Every time I kill a mimic with my MCW it doesn’t count towards the kill 5 mimics camo :( it’s max level gun, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong!

Yeah I just went to kill one in an infested stronghold and the pushback from the mimic revealing itself instantly killed me and immediately eliminated me from the game, with no chance of randoms rezzing, losing all of my loot. So just be aware of that I guess. “Finished game” right everyone?

on the very first method those HVT mimics do not count as mimics. since their name is specific to each hvt they are not called "Mimic" they dont count towards any challenges lol

yeah they seem to have removed the mimics from strongholds. i have borealis so i know they were there before but going for bioluminescent now and i cant find mimics anywhere. 5 straight games and only found 2 mimics at strongholds. used to be 1 or 2 always. gonna have to farm tier 1 bounties now.

@@slaaaaaapped5374 I can show you, they do spawn but usually only when you get close to a chest, since they are a mimic. You can run in and run up to the chests. Other times, they'll just spawn when people get near the stronghold and run out towards the team passing by

Yep unfortunately sometimes I used custom weapons and it work and then it was times I had to use a default weapon ! But I’ve noticed if I start with that custom weapon and don’t buy or pick up any weapons it’ll work !!
