He should tell the other inmates how dangerous he is, and that he tried to killed a young 11 year old girl who was sleeping at home with her mother and also killed the mother.
that info would certainly give him a rep in prison... trying to kill a female young child sleeping with her mother. (ohh boy)
most inmates would take notice of that... like it or not, they also have a code and you can bet' what this cr33p did is a huge red flag.
c'mon who wouldn't take notice... but the system will likely be familiar with that, and sadly protect him for consequences from the other inmates..

He’s proud of how “dangerous” he would be viewed by the other inmates. He is dangerous to sleeping women and children. His fellow inmates will show him what dangerous is.

I was in Jail with 2 out of the 4 of these idiots and not one person viewed them as dangerous. They hacked up a little girl. I was only in county jail with them before sentencing but I know once they got to state prison it hasn't been easy for them since

@Possum things happen in Jail. Guards mysteriously were not at their post because of "reasons". Ground glass in your porridge, an unlocked cell door, giving the other inmates access to you, all filed under "unfortunate human error"
Trust me, he will get his in prison. No matter how hard he tries to escape it. Even solitary is not safe, as the guards are the worst of the bunch when it comes to revenge. Justifued revenge, I should say.

Dude was smiling about how dangerous he is but not even a grin when he was convicted and sentenced. I'm glad he is getting what he deserves. I pray for the family and especially that little girl. Not only does she have to endure physical pain that nobody should endure but she also had to experience the pain of losing her mother right beside her. I really hope she overcomes this horrific tragedy and finds herself peace and happiness somehow.

@My Thoughts Actually she's pretty resilient and hasn't had many problems working through this horrific tragedy according to YouTube updates, which is just about as uncomfortable to swallow as would be her assumed uphill battle(s) from the quasi PTSD we all like to armchair diagnose survivors/victims with like we understand anything. There's a clip on Dave Lemonade's channel on this case and he does an update on the daughter, she's super cute, has like all these foundations/incredible endeavors and like used this to better herself and the obligatory toxic positivity vomit that follows. There was some quote from her cementing that this was for the positive not the negative etc. etc. etc. YAY.

My heart goes out to the dad and husband of murdered mom and daughter who "survived". The prisons are full of psychopaths but that diagnosis doesn't make you legally insane. He knew what he was doing and just didn't care.

It's like this: LOL. I guess the other prisoners weren't too impressed with how "dangerous" he was. He lasted 3 hours outside of the special housing unit:
"Since going to prison, Gribble has been in the special housing unit where he has had no contact with other inmates. But last week he was moved to the close custody unit, where he has a cellmate and can interact with inmates.The fight took place in the recreation yard and involved an unknown inmate or inmates, officials said. The prison is investigating. Gribble was moved back to the special housing unit, where he had lived since he was sentenced to life without parole in March 2011. Inmates in the special housing unit are locked down 22 to 23 hours a day and housed one to a room."

He is a cold and couculating individual, he knew all the parts to what he was after. But somewhere inside his head there is something messed up not working correctly. That's what he is trying to claim as the insane part, if you notice he says that "now" he is insane.

So it could even be he believes he was not before. But now that he has had a taste of what he planned, he now is giving in to his "insane" part.

Honestly, the prisoners around him will not treat him well at all. Child/women murderers, r@pists, child molesters, child/women abusers, etc are not treated well at all in prison. A lot of guys in those prisons are husbands or fathers and they don't take kindly to the people that mistreat women or children.

dont remember where i heard it but from what i've heard if you actually do trick them into believing you're insane it doesnt just mean you're free from prison, it means you have to serve that sentence in a psych ward or insane asylum or whatever you'd like to call them which often times are arguably scarier than jails

He is truly dead behind the eyes. The problem with "the psychopath" analogy is that they have a cognitive understanding of what is right and wrong. If they didn't they'd just go around slitting and stabbing everyone. He knows what he did, and deserves every second in prison. This guy "wishes" he was a psychopath, truth be told he's a weak little covert narcissist.

@Natalie M psychopathy is not a mental illness at all it is a personality trait schizophrenia , bipolar and autism are illnesses I have a grandson with bipolar 1 he hallucinates due to manic episodes and he was granted insanity on a assault charge 3rd degree because he didn't remember anything and there was Little motivation to the assault those are factors for insanity psychopathy isn't one of them at all neither is sociopathy nor narcissism because those are personality traits. Now you know how insanity pleas work.

Finding it hard to feel empathy for him for what is surely coming his way as soon as his "vicious dangerous bravado claims" are heard by other REAL adult MEN inmates that are undoubtedly far more in the mood to prove to this youth his meaninglessness and his empty claims to them-institutionalized MEN, not little girls who are sleeping.

I agree that the husband shows more restraint than I would ever be capable of. When he started smiling about what he had done and that the other prisoners had no idea who they were messing with it would have taken an army to hold me back from trying to get to him. Not going to say what I would try to do because they will kick my comment out of here but I think most everyone has their own idea of what they would like to do to him. I feel pretty certain as well that he will run across the right people in prison that will show him that he isn't as big and bad as he thinks he is. God bless the husband and really really God bless that little girl and what she's had to go through to recover and the nightmares she will have to cope with for years to come along with the grief of losing her mom. Lots of prayers for this family and some prayers for the families of the young men who did this. So much suffering all the way around. So sad 😢 🙏

Oh man how sweet he took the witness stand, I enjoyed seeing how he was outsmarted the jury with his BS, and the cherry on top was his sentence, I ife, w/o the possibility of parole, he thought that would've been nice.

Question; If people receive the 'insanity' plea...if/when a psychiatrist ever labels them 'sane'..even if it's years later...doesn't this same person have to go thru trial, jail or prison?

No. They are not guilty as guilt requires both a guilty mindset and guilty act. They aren’t kept until they are sane as sane only applies to their culpability at the time. They are kept until they are no longer dangerous and usually have rather intensive release plans which can lead to them being rehospitalized. It’s a actually super rare that it is ever claimed (only 1% of all cases and 0.5% of felony cases). When it is raised it’s only successful like 25% of the time and 70% the prosecution and judge agree as part of a plea deal. The ones who legitimately qualify are very different from people usually found guilty. Criminal recidivism (committing more crimes after being released) is usually around 60-70%. For NGRI in my jurisdiction recidivism is 5-11%.

Just so all yall know, Gribble was held in SHU (in a cell 23 hours a day) after his conviction. At some point, Gibble was transferred to gen pop, not even 3 hours later he was involved in a fight in the yard. Gribble apparently had bruising on his face and was sent back to SHU (for his own safety i would assume).

LOL. I guess the other prisoners weren't too impressed with how "dangerous" he was. He lasted 3 hours outside of the special housing unit:
"Since going to prison, Gribble has been in the special housing unit where he has had no contact with other inmates. But last week he was moved to the close custody unit, where he has a cellmate and can interact with inmates.The fight took place in the recreation yard and involved an unknown inmate or inmates, officials said. The prison is investigating. Gribble was moved back to the special housing unit, where he had lived since he was sentenced to life without parole in March 2011. Inmates in the special housing unit are locked down 22 to 23 hours a day and housed one to a room."

A lot of times when they plea insanity they don’t end up doing a life sentence. My best friend from jr high tried killing his step dad with a fireplace poker and plead insanity. He only did two years in a mental hospital and is now out of custody. Last I heard he is a meth addict and homeless. He probably would have done better if he got life in prison.

You have to be..well..insane to plead defense by insanity when you are actually sane. Instead of being jailed for life, you will be jailed almost for life in a padded cell whist being treated like you are insane. Being treated as an insane person with all your faculties working is possibly one of the worst mental tortures you can possibly endure.

Convicted first degree murderer's should be executed within 30 days of judgement. Wasting gov't's time and resources making sure these criminals get rights, when they took someone elses rights, is ridiculous.
