Listen
j.Davey Pacific Division Diz Gibran & Bleu Collar Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I can't wait to see you
I can't wait to be you
I can't wait
The pain's on me
I can't wait to be you
I can't wait to see you
Waiting's what we do
Not enough to give 'nough to you
Wish there was a place we remained since
A place where we could rest and we would know
The pain's on me
I can't wait to be you
I can't wait to feel you
I can't wait
Listen to me
I can't wait to see you
I can't wait to be you
I can't wait
It shouldn't take so long
Something that's so real to come along
I feel the pull
But I can't pay the price
That don't make it right
I'm here alone
What's left of me
I can't wait
I'm done here
And won't stay
Longer
And I can't wait
Listen to me
Is it right to be here
I can't fight
Can't win on my ground
Pain is what we do
Got enough to make some more for you
I can take so much before I bleed
Knowing what's the stake its all I do

The lyrics to “Listen” by j.Davey Pacific Division Diz Gibran & Bleu Collar are a reflection on the universal struggles of waiting and patience. The singer is feeling defeated by the waiting game and wishes to be in the position of someone who has already achieved their dreams and goals. The repetition of “I can't wait to be you” and “I can't wait to see you” speaks to a desire for change and a longing for the feeling of accomplishment. However, at the same time, the singer is also feeling the weight of the pain that comes with waiting, and it seems to be weighing on them more heavily as time goes on. The line “I can take so much before I bleed” speaks to the idea that there is a threshold for how much waiting and uncertainty one can handle.
The lyrics also touch on the idea of self-worth and the struggle to maintain faith in oneself in the face of setbacks and challenges. The repetition of “Listen to me” is a plea to be heard and understood, and the line “Can't win on my ground” suggests a feeling of powerlessness and vulnerability. Despite this, the singer remains determined to stay the course and push through their despair, as indicated by the repeated line “I'm done here and won't stay longer.”
Overall, the lyrics to “Listen” offer a poignant reminder of the trials we all face in waiting for our dreams to come to fruition, and the emotional toll that struggle can take.

This is such a classic tape . All of em are , the fourth tape i wasn’t a fan of . Volume 3 was the last of the decent ones . Just my opinion
@AlienRenegadeVideos
The fourth one wasn't a Hip-Hop Docktrine tape. It was a completely unrelated tape commissioned by Adult Swim that focused a lot on local Atlanta talent. That's why that one was different from these ones. I actually liked it. Different, but still fit the Boondocks vibes.
@Ty1Brown2Studioz3
Alien.Renegade Videos hey i stand corrected , but what i will say is , the first three just had that original Boondocks feel to them (in my opinion) , although i did like some cuts from the 4th tape ..
