This One

Stop, where am I?
Shock, I can't cry
Pop, I need some space
No, this isn't me
Go, please let me breathe
I'll be back sooner than you know

I need this space just like you need it
I need this time, time to clear up my mind
Wait, did you hear that? Shh
Hear my heart beat? Shh
I need this relief, whoa yeah, I really need this

Wow, I've been blind
I hope I'll be fine
Don't hold me back, no
Yes, I see light
Now, it's so bright
Call my name, I'll be me soon

I need this space just like you need it
I need this time, time to clear up my mind
Wait, did you hear that? Shh
Hear my heart beat? Shh
I need this relief
Wait, did you hear that? Shh
Hear my heart beat? Shh
I need this relief, yeah, I really need this
I really need
I really need this
I really need this

You know it's not personal
Sorry if I'm hurting you
Please don't give up on me now
I needed this time alone
To know I could come back home
To breathe, breathe, breathe

I need this space just like you need it
I need this time, time to clear up my mind
Wait, did you hear that? Shh
Hear my heart beat? Shh
I need this relief, yeah
Wait, did you hear that? Shh
Hear my heart beat? Shh
I need this relief, whoa yeah

I really need this
Whoa
I need, need, need this feeling
Whoa
I need, need, need this feeling
Whoa
Yeah
Oh
I really need
Whoa
I need
I need
I really really need
I need, I need this

I need this
I really need this

Overall Meaning

The song "This One" by j.Davey Pacific Division Diz Gibran & Bleu Collar is a song about needing personal space and time alone to clear one's mind. The lyrics depict someone who is feeling suffocated, unable to cry or express themselves, and needs space to breathe. This person asserts their need for personal space, but also acknowledges the potential impact that their need may have on those around them, encouraging them not to give up on them. Ultimately, the song is a reminder that taking care of oneself and acknowledging one's own needs is important, even if it may initially cause discomfort to those around them.

The use of repetition throughout the song, particularly in the phrase "wait, did you hear that?" and the refrain of "I need this," emphasizes the importance of the singer's desire for space and relief, creating a sense of urgency and intensity. The use of the hushed "shh" further emphasizes the singer's need for quiet and calm.

Overall, "This One" is a deeply introspective song about the importance of prioritizing one's own needs, even if it causes discomfort to those around them. It is a reminder that sometimes the most loving thing we can do for ourselves and others is to acknowledge our limitations and take the time we need to care for ourselves.

This is such a classic tape . All of em are , the fourth tape i wasn’t a fan of . Volume 3 was the last of the decent ones . Just my opinion

@AlienRenegadeVideos

The fourth one wasn't a Hip-Hop Docktrine tape. It was a completely unrelated tape commissioned by Adult Swim that focused a lot on local Atlanta talent. That's why that one was different from these ones. I actually liked it. Different, but still fit the Boondocks vibes.

@Ty1Brown2Studioz3

Alien.Renegade Videos hey i stand corrected , but what i will say is , the first three just had that original Boondocks feel to them (in my opinion) , although i did like some cuts from the 4th tape ..

@trynchlyfetwyn

Yep and 5 is ok too if you haven't heard it yet 4 was crap completely
