Never Enough
jinsu Lyrics

Talk to you for a second

[Chorus:]
It's like it's never enough
And we don't even know how
This is too hard to realize
That you're making it hard for you and I
Are we even in love?
Or should I tell you a lie?
Cause you're making it hard for you and I
Girl you're making it hard for you and I
We can't go much longer
Your fears are taking over
This won't last for long
So why should I hold on?
Making strange decisions
I can't fight this feeling
I hold back, be strong
Pray down, I move on
Nothing ever last forever, no
What ever goes up comes down, that's right
Will we ever be together? I don't know
Never say never

Ah, remember when you used to text me
Saying you was thinking of me
Kept it friends for a while
Then along it came the fucking
From new states red bottoms, Gucci scars for the styling
Quick reminders, menu at the... I was browsing
She knew a nigga made a way from the public housings
Nowadays I play so hard I throw a couple talent
Was working for the both of us so the money piling
Forfeited the whole shit, and threw the talent
Always thought the common thing wasn't true
Like if you did something same shit will come back to you
Not saying that it's wrong, and all the legal work
Calling off, traveling around the hunned down for a calling card
Prolly suck some real... For a real person
Knew a... Shooting me, I can see you hurting
Rewinding back in the time, you feeling stuck
And it sucks, that was rough but

[Chorus:]
It's like it's never enough
And we don't even know how
This is too hard to realize
That you're making it hard for you and I
Are we even in love?
Or should I tell you a lie?
Cause you're making it hard for you and I
Girl you're making it hard for you and I
We can't go much longer
Your fears are taking over
This won't last for long
So why should I hold on?
Making strange decisions
I can't fight this feeling
I hold back, be strong
Pray down, I move on
Nothing ever last forever, no
What ever goes up comes down, that's right
Will we ever be together? I don't know
Never say never

I told her never say it, never rush
We never waited, wish we never dated
Plotting on, find the replacements
I was hurt regarding I was so young
Trapped in amazement
Feeling in places, even though
We was different natures
Beauty came from afar, seen it from miles away
Love was saking inside so was the alize
I break when I think on things I remember
She born in September but had a heard cold as December
Realizing I was in the wrong still I had to stay strong
Reaching for you in the morn forgot I told you to be gone
Had a text later on so you had a better day
Your response "yeh it's cool, I think it's best we stay away"
Guess the space was beginning to feel
And our love wasn't able to build
Shit I'm just keeping it real
Guess the insecure and arguments was fucking it up
Along with the trust, I'm knowing it but

[Chorus:]
It's like it's never enough
And we don't even know how
This is too hard to realize
That you're making it hard for you and I
Are we even in love?
Or should I tell you a lie?
Cause you're making it hard for you and I
Girl you're making it hard for you and I
We can't go much longer
Your fears are taking over
This won't last for long
So why should I hold on?
Making strange decisions
I can't fight this feeling
I hold back, be strong
Pray down, I move on
Nothing ever last forever, no
What ever goes up comes down, that's right

Will we ever be together? I don't know
Never say never.

Overall Meaning

In the song "Never Enough" by Jinsu, the singer seems to be expressing his feelings about a relationship that seems to be ending. He asks if they are even in love or if he should lie about it. It feels like they are both making it hard for each other, and they can't go on like this for much longer. Jinsu talks about how nothing lasts forever, and what goes up must come down. Though he's not sure if they will be together, he urges them to never say never.

The first verse talks about how things were between him and his partner. They used to text each other and kept things platonic for a while, but then they gave in to their feelings. He reminisces about how things were before, and how much they've changed. Jinsu seems to be blaming her fears for the demise of their relationship, and he's come to terms with the fact that they won't be able to work things out.

In the second verse, Jinsu talks about how he knew he was in the wrong, but he needed to stay strong. He tried to make up for his mistakes but found that their love couldn't grow or thrive, and all they did was argue. He realizes that the insecurity and the lack of trust have taken their toll on their relationship.

Overall, "Never Enough" is a poignant song that captures the bittersweet feelings of a relationship that just didn't work out.
