Hahaha! That bird! My grandma had an African Grey parrot and it would never shut up! It had a huge vocabulary.

If you think about it, Spanky ended up getting what he wanted in the end. His mom stopped forcing him to act, and he helped that girl get the dress she wanted.

Actors who play Spanky's parents are a riot.😂😂
@dillsull
The ending of this short is so unexpected with Spanky trying to protect himself from peas and his mother's stagepole. Just at the point where she has almost pulled him off the grandmother starts to raise the curtain. Initially you don't know why is she raising the curtain She says " Here's where we stop the show". You think she is ending the act. Then you see the hook and understand the old woman is going to teach her daughter a lesson for putting Spanky on the stage. The mother has been reluctently forced to make her stage debut. The ending is hilarious especially when we see what is on the front of the stageprop combined with the expression on her face. Clearly Spanky's Mother deserved her bizarre humiliating fate.

Actually it’s “Here’s where we start the show!” If laughing at Spanky isn’t funny enough, this will really split your sides.
@briangallagher2236
Laughing at him? They’re HOWLING at him!

Spanky the thespian..."Lend me your EARS!!" This is one of my favorite episodes. Comical when Spanky's thrashing around on the floor like an upside-down turtle.
