Hello Don,

Well I for one am deeply impressed by your musical giftedness your understanding of music and your vast knowledge of the songs. I tune in to a radio show at 5:30am every morning called Rising Time and the show's presenter Shay Byrne also has your musical giftedness and knowledge and tells us so much about the songs he plays.
By the way I'm just loving a brand new song called Escapism sung by RAYE along with 070 Shake. RAYE(Rachel Keen) is a very young 25yo and English also and I just love the music in the lyric from this song "I don't wannna feel how I did last night". I just love it. Maybe you might have a listen to this song on YouTube the very latest in modern music not that I undertand what that means!

Peter.

Hello Don,

I'm also enjoying what I think is very latest song from Ed Sheeran Eyes Closed. Ed has strong familial connections with us here in Ireland and we love him the same way we the Irish love David Gray who is English and who has however no familial connections with Ireland. However, Don, please check out David's song Skellig about I guess Skellig Island off the south western coast of Ireland and the entire album that that song is on.

Hello Don,

Lara Yas writes this beautiful comment about Ed's song Eyes Closed:

"Eyes Closed" by Ed Sheeran is a somber reflection on the pain of losing someone you love and trying to move on. The song is about the difficulty of coping with the aftermath of a breakup and the emotions that come with it. The narrator of the song is dealing with the repercussions of a failed relationship and is still struggling to come to terms with it. The first verse sets the scene for the song by describing the narrator's isolation and loneliness. The narrator acknowledges that it is a bad idea to turn to alcohol to cope, but he feels like he has no other choice. The narrator is dealing with the cards life has dealt him, but he is still holding back his tears. He feels like he is the only one dealing with these emotions while his friends are living their lives elsewhere. The chorus of the song describes the narrator's attempt to escape his pain by dancing with his eyes closed. Everywhere he looks, he still sees his ex-lover, and time moves slowly. He doesn't know what else he can do, so he keeps dancing with his eyes closed. The second verse delves further into the narrator's emotions. He is deluded and thinks his ex-lover will come home soon, but he knows it's just a fantasy. He feels like he's lost more than just a friend and can't help but miss his ex-lover. The bridge of the song describes the reality of the situation. The bar is closing, and everyone has gone home, but the narrator is still alone. The song ends with the chorus and the post-chorus reminding us that the narrator is still dancing with his eyes closed, unable to escape his pain. The song suggests that despite the pain and the difficulty of moving on, life goes on, and we must learn to cope with the emotions that come with it.

I'm really enjoying Britain's Got Talent at the moment.

Peter.

@DonMac

@@peternolan814 I have to admit I'm not a fan of Ed Sheeran ( Especially his version of "Galway Girl" ) or Britains Got Talent
