Mine
lynch. Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Before the sun runs out of shine
Shadows stretch their lines
A life's a short time
But here we are caught in a day
So soon to fade away
They come and go in waves

We come and go in waves
So say

If it's a matter of time
It's a matter of mine
If it's a matter of time
It's a matter of mine
(So what's the matter?)
Oh this matter of mine
Oh this matter of mine
(So what's the matter?)
Oh this matter of mine
This matter of mine

Nothing gained and nothing lost
Live your life cuz' it's the cost
Run your coarse and walk the walk
You're the key and you're the lock
If you don't know these words I say
You may be saying them one day
It doesn't matter anyway
If matter goes or matter stays

You got nothing to fear
Look into the mirror
(Namah Om Namah Om)
With all the love you have inside
There is no room to hide
(Namah Shivaya Namah Om Namah Om)
You get this life to live
Just for the love you give
(Namah Shivaya Namah Om Namah Om)
Your life is just a light
We're shining so bright
(Namah Shivaya Namah Om Namah Om)
Because the universe is small
It's barely there at all
(Namah Shivaya Namah Om Namah Om)
It's never too late to change your mind
(Namah Shivaya Namah Om Namah Om)
Open the door
See what you'll find

(Namah Shivaya Namah Om Namah Om)
Namah Shivaya

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to "Mine" by lynch. revolve around the idea of the significance of time and the value of self. The opening lines "Before the sun runs out of shine, Shadows stretch their lines" sets the tone for the song, emphasizing that time is limited, and shadows symbolize our own existence shadowed by time. It appears that the lyrics are addressing an individual about making the most of the time they have, as reflected in "A life's a short time, But here we are caught in a day, So soon to fade away." It seems as though the singer is telling the audience to make a choice, to choose how they will spend the limited time they have.

The chorus "If it's a matter of time, It's a matter of mine, (So what's the matter?) Oh, this matter of mine" suggests that owning time is by taking responsibility for our life. The line "You're the key, and you're the lock" highlights the idea that individuals control the course of their life. The song includes a call to action, to look within oneself, with the lines "You got nothing to fear, Look into the mirror," promoting self-reflection in finding the love within oneself. The line "Live your life because it's the cost" emphasizes the value of life, not as a possession but something we are given to cherish.

Overall, "Mine" by lynch. calls attention to the importance of our self-worth, the significance of time, and the power of choices, thereby urging individuals to live their lives to the fullest.

Thanks for the information. Even though I'm out $300.00, I won't be doing a charge back. Losing a child is the worst thing that can happen to a parent! God Bless them and their child. Money is replaceable, a child isn't! Thank you Sir for the update

My condolences to the Lynch family. Myself and many others also have had setbacks and tragedies but it’s no excuse for their business practices = total lack of communication - being charged for items before they are shipped (knowing items wouldn’t be shipped). - Items were advertised as in stock….

Never in a million years would I expect a well loved company like Lynch mining go out of business. I was a loyal customer of theirs for many years. And to see them go out of business is a real gut punch. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Lynch family. May they find comfort in knowing that there are people who care.

Man, very sad story and very sorry to hear about their newborn. I didn't know the whole story so I appreciate you sharing this. Beware the predatory loans for sure - PayPal is very much in that camp. Thanks for all the great content Dylan - two big thumbs up.

Super excited for this. Lynch was my “go to” spot for a few years. Sad to see them gone and especially the way they went out.

Thanks for clearing this up. We have been customers of Lynch for several years. Really sorry to see them go, and I understand trying to survive the tragedy they experienced. I know it all too well. I wish them peace in their life and hope they are there for each other.

Man that’s rough. I wish I had the means to bless them financially. I just hope and pray they continue to make it through this tough time in life.
