These Days
m a Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Mom came home a little early that day in Februar'
She opened up the door and heard some pounding down the stairs
She thought she better check it out
Her mind was racing
What could that be
Her heart skipped a couple beats when she opened up the door
There they were like a couple of dogs rolling around on the floor
Shocked she screamed
How dare you son
Get that girl out of my home
Ya you better run
I remember dear old Grandma Gummy living there those days
Listening to both sides of the story in her gentle way
Then I heard Mom cry to her
Grandma what am I going to do with that boy
Grandma said Barb that's kids these days
Grandma said Barb that's kids these days
Grandma said Barb that's kids these days
Just another ditty cause it's just another day
And everything is changing cause everything's the same
If Grandma was here right now
I know what she'd say
Grandma said Barb that's kids these days

Grandma said Barb that's kids these days
Grandma said Barb that's kids these days

Wow, I wish they could bring these classic comedy back. I love seeing each and every one of them 😅😂😂

@pacmanindy

When I was a kid, growing up in Indianapolis, my mom and I would watch the Ma & Pa Kettle movies on syndicated TV every Sunday morning. That was back in the late ‘70s. Now those movies can be seen either on cable or streaming. They do not make family movies like they used to!

@bryanmead6887

I live in Edinburgh Indiana and would watch with my Grandma every Saturday morning all through the late 60s and the 70s great memories for sure.
