She said, "My God, you're almost twenty
And you think you've done it all already
How could you know where you haven't been

Temperance that you've always lacked
But moderation, as a matter of fact, is a virtue

Go on, tell the group one word to describe you
Introduce your name and face, your drug of choice
How you fell from grace and got right back up
Before it was too damn late

Do you hate the glass or do you hate your skin
Which world of yours are you living in tonight
Which device, which route of demise
Will you decide upon this time
And your ego weighs you down, but you're just a fucking kid
Christ, what did you do to think you deserve any of this?

Stop over-reacting, stop thinking of things
Turn your eyes to the LED's
Fight the melatonin with a shot of caffeine
Dream of ending it right here, and having your mother walk in
You wouldn't feel a fucking thing and that'd be the end of it
And there's nothing next, so you'd have no regret's
It'll be like a film where it's black past the credits
And the best dressed at the funeral would be your best friend
Who'd never forget the thing that you said about faking your death when you were kids
Ah but fuck that, cause you'd be dead and there's nothing next

Just let that unfold, until the credits roll
Is that the plan
Is that the best you have

Temperance that I've always lacked, yes
But moderation, as a matter of fact, is a not virtue
Come on, tell the group one word to describe you
Patronisingly cruel
Oh, but that was two, alright
Immature and stuck in my youth, afraid to see things through
Impulsive, explosive, obsessive-compulsive
What more could I possible admit to

Well, what's the term for a writer who misconstrues her own life
In a desperate attempt to self therapise
Redirects the blame to explain her vice
Her worst mistake in life? Her nihilistic side
And she's always right, but she could never quite
Wrap her mind around mortality despite
Doing the most she can to die in the shortest amount of time

I'll let that unfold until the credits roll
And that's the plan
That's the best I have

Because my God, I'm twenty
Is this the credits now, already

How
Oh no, no, no, no

Overall Meaning

The song "Credits" by Mar-ble Team explores the struggles and existential crises of being a young adult. The first verse is a conversation between the singer and an older person who is questioning the singer's knowledge and experience. The singer is confronted with their lack of temperance and self-control, but also acknowledges that moderation is a virtue. The chorus turns inward as the singer questions their own identity and purpose, considering their past mistakes and contemplating death. The second verse delves deeper into the singer's psyche as they examine their own flaws and self-destructive tendencies, wondering if they are simply trying to self-therapize through their writing.

Watching the credits and reminding myself about Team JMR's OUTSTANDING effort to bring us a production that stands up to any of the big-time sporting events that you can watch on TV. THANK YOU, Team JMR... THANK YOU so much.

@holidaymail

Agreed! So much work by some many people, and it comes out consistently fantastic

@forallthemarbles

So impressed with JMR productions! 😅

@mikemann1960

Cinema photography and commentary is one that really rival's Hollywood.

@RainaThrownAway

This was an incredible effort by the hosting team, the Bumblebees! I don't think we've ever seen a host team perform this well and this consistently. The whole line up was incredible - not a single team missed the podium over the course of the whole championship. This may be a Marble League for the record books. Every marble out there should be incredibly proud.

@DerMoerpler

It's the first time every team got at least 100 points, and up until event 13 everyone could mathematically still win. That's incredible. Even if the teams I support (Team Galactic and Snowballs) didn't score that high, it's probably my favorite season yet.

@driftnick7022

Of course, leave it to the Cat's Eyes to suck the fun out of everything

@mariaelenagarciamolero1437

Thank you Jelle and everyone else involved for another wonderful Marble League 😍♥

@TehWhiteTiger

Okay it's official Red Eye is the MVP of the entirety of Marble League history!

This was such a insane run, what a clutch at the end!

@Starfire_Storm

Truly the GOAT. He take what's arguably a midpack team like the CCE's to pure greatness.
