Waiting for the Day
mesh-29 Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Assured that there's nothing for her outside.
Prescribed for the state of the rage inside her,
She hates inhibitions that hurt her mind
In the unstable life you lead
She's waiting for the day to bury herself away from you,
There's a solemn face that she hides behind the smile she gives to you,
This is for the lonely.
This is written for the lonely,
This is written for the one's who feel alone.
We all see the same things,
We're seeing it in shades of grey and white
Your frustration gets you no-where,
In the unstable life you lead
She's waiting for the day to bury herself away from you,
There's a solemn face that she hides behind the smile she gives to you,
This is for the lonely.
[x3]
She's waiting for the day..
The lyrics to "Waiting for The Day" by Mesh-29 present a feeling of loneliness and the desire to escape from a person or situation that is causing pain. The first stanza describes a woman who is waiting silently and avoiding the world outside because of the rage inside her. She hates anything that inhibits her mind, which suggests that she feels constrained or held back in some way. The chorus reveals that she is waiting for the day when she can bury herself away from the person causing her frustration and pain. The second stanza emphasizes the loneliness and isolation felt by many people, and the bridge repeats the idea that frustration gets us nowhere in life. Overall, the song conveys a sense of longing for escape and a desire for freedom from the constraints and pressures of life.
