It makes him seem more dangerous, and they are already going to have to deal with accusations of entrapment. (he didn't actually touch a minor either - so they are arguing intent and not commission of a crime.

(yes, he had a gun in the vehicle, so do I and most people here -- it was not where he could have reached it because he wasn't doing a violent crime -- with the ear protectors he was obviously a range regular)

Surgical techs is a 4 year degree, 2 for basics, and the other 2 relating to the field. They don't deal with patients normally and usually tend to the operating room and equipment/instruments in the room. For reference, nursing would be a higher degree.

Sickening. There's a kaiser in my area, and one of the directors apparently has a history of predatory behavior. A victim came forward. The man also fits all the criteria for someone whose more likely to display such behavior. Kaiser tried to fire him but he lawyered up, and Kaiser was unable to do anything. He’s just a surgical tech (you can have your license in 11 months, just showing the difference in being an actual surgeon which takes app. 13 years), so he wouldn’t have been sedating anybody in that hospital, an anesthesiologist would do that & he wouldn’t have been alone with patients either bc the anesthesiologist & nurses doesn’t leave until the patient does. Thank God! That’s how it works in the hospital I work for. And he absolutely will lose his license, which I’m also thankful for. You can’t have a felony & hold a medical license of any kind, nor work in a hospital period.

As far as we 'know' from this he didn't "do" anything to anyone. There was no actual child involved in this sting thank god and nobody was actually hurt. I'm hoping that a search of his records would have turned up any old victims and he would have been charged separately with MUCH higher penalty. Nobody wants to pay for this scum to sit in jail the rest of his life but we also don't want him to be given another chance at hurting a child for real.... It’s crazy how many of these predators will get a slap on the wrist many times before they actually get a prison sentence and even when they get a prison sentence, it’s not usually that long. There needs to be a harsher punishment the first time, so it will have more of an effect on some of them. My younger brother was talking to someone on that website. His wife is a morbidly obese hypochondriac system dependent. He was obviously "not getting any," and so he started talking to someone on there. From what I understood, the conversations were getting "spicy," and she told him that she was like 15 or something. He frantically began deleting everything, and within a few hours, there were four officers at his door, taking all of his tech and hauling him off to the clink. I think they gave him 5 years and the permanent S.O. registration stuff. I was going to go visit him (because he's still my brother), but I quite clearly explained to his wife what a complete human trash bag she is and might have told her that she should unalive herself, so she removed me from the visitation list, obviously.
