If not in print, I would really REALLY like to have Britannica in PDF. It's more professional and focused than a version with it's own GUI could ever be.

@DJDunsie

no, you can check on britannica online for the most up to date articles

@candoslayer I think a DVD should be equal to a full library of printed stuff

@candoslayer

it comes with kids students and adults versions and loaded with video with free updates too

@ableemuser

Owning a Britannica set was considered to be for the privileged few when I was growing up and I had always aspired to own a set. With my wife and I both having educated backgrounds and now financially well off, we both decided it would be wonderful to own a set for our future children. Yes, you can download it or use wikipedia, but who wants to stare at LCD screens for hours on end? You will always be able to access Wikipedia in the future, but owning a Britannica will now be limited to very few

@ehypersonic

They didn't have to finish the printed version...I guess that now I have no other option than buy an used version before the prices go to the skies

@DJDunsie

they should really keep it in print. there's just something special and rewarding about reading a few dozen leather bound volumes. i don't like electronic versions anyway. after a while it hurts your eyes.

@aaronortiz I carry all the knowledge of humanity in my Android Cellphone or my Kindle Fire! Wow that is a lot of knowledge. The print editions will always exist. And if need be we can always print parts (or whole). Mostly we will just print the parts we need, when we need them. And reference them to Britannica.

@timammons8744

@LagiNaLangAko23 It's not an end it's a new beginning. The print editions had to be updated which libraries couldn't afford.

@gaae2000

do they still have Pluto as the 9th planet?
