Several of its members have played in noteworthy bands around the Denver area, including Black Black Ocean, Five Iron Frenzy, and Boyswholikeaudrey. The band displays a collective aesthetic, featuring an expansive roster that often includes spouses, siblings, family and friends. The band's current lineup is as follows:

Nathan & Stephen's debut recording, "The Everyone EP," was officially released February 9, 2006, celebrated with a performance by the band at Denver's Gothic Theater. The EP features violin arrangement and performance by Carrie Beeder, additional percussion by Woody Potter, and additional vocals by Anna Till.
