no cops for miles Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The next thing you know its like putting up a fight
Its like my bodys separating sides
And I just cant decide what to do
My head is coming loose
It feels like im trapped im hanging from a noose
And it seems that this so called world is what causes the abuse
Its nothing new its the same bullshit that weve all gone through
And how it represents everything and everybody but you
In the song "Collapse" by No Cops For Miles, the artist describes the sudden shift from a happy and content life to one of struggle and inner turmoil. The lyrics convey a sense of helplessness and indecision, symbolized through the metaphor of a body separating sides. The artist feels as though they are trapped and hanging from a noose, struggling to find a way out. This sense of despair is compounded by the realization that the world is responsible for the abuse that the artist is experiencing.
The artist goes on to critique the symbolism of the colors red, white, and blue, which are meant to represent the nation and its people. However, the artist highlights the irony in the fact that these colors do not represent everyone, particularly those who are marginalized and oppressed. The lyrics suggest that despite living in a country that boasts freedom and equality, the reality is that many individuals continue to face discrimination and inequality.
Overall, the song "Collapse" is a powerful commentary on the struggles and injustices faced by many individuals in modern society. The lyrics convey a sense of hopelessness and anger towards a system that fails to live up to its ideals.

@linkin1995 I see more relation to cv in this album than others. But i think ncfm are much more melodic and influenced by early emo bands in their riffs.
