Kiss me mother kiss your darlin'
Lay my head upon your breast
Throw your loving arms around me
I am weary let me rest
Seems the light is swiftly fading
Brighter scenes they do now show
I am standing by the river
Angels wait to take me home
Kiss me mother kiss your darlin'
See the pain upon my brow
While I'll soon be with the angels
Fate has doomed my future now
Through the years you've always loved me
And my life you've tried to save
But now I shall slumber sweetly
In a deep and lonely grave
Kiss me mother kiss your darlin'
Lay my head upon your breast
Throw your loving arms around me
I am weary let me rest
I am weary let me rest

I've never wrote anything like this, and I've never been one to talk about things, but I lost my father when I was ten. Im 20 now, and my mother passed away last Veterans day. I've still been having a pretty hard time with it, but long story short this music and way of life meant the world to my dad and it means a whoke deal to me. I've recently been listening to it a lot more again, it makes me feel close to them. It helps me remember, and gives me hope. I've been thinking a lot more about the Lord and heaven again, and it does help. I am happy as a person, and music like this helps me keep my roots and it makes me feel like they can live on through me in a way. It's about being and doing positive in life no matter what, and reaping the benifits in the end. Eternily with everything you've ever known, what else could be more worth it. Life is just hard, but it will always get brighter. If anyone had any doubts. I don't know that saying anything can help anyone else, but it feels good to try. Good luck in life to each and everyone.

I'm sorry that you lost them so early in life. I promise(and that's something I don't do because it's pointless when nobody trusts a word you say) so its been over 10 years since I made a promise...i promise to cherish every the time I have with my parents and to do right by them before they leave because not many get that chance and I don't want to take it for granted...its the stair and narrow for me from here on out. Come on in boys the water is fine...

If you've never cried listening to this song, you're a soulless human being.
