I really loved the dragons in house of the dragon. While we go a few episodes with no dragons and that frustrated me, I loved their designs being so different we could easily tell them apart, from color to silhouette. The final episode definitely had the best dragons. The only thing I hated was how dark the whole series was, if I wasn't in pitch black I could tell what was going on...

I think you mean Grey Ghost, but yeah, could be. Still, it's a dragon fight that ends up being important, since it's what lures Baela and Moondancer to Dragonstone, so I'm assuming that, if they don't show the battle itself, they should at least show the dead Grey Ghost, which counts I guess?
So between Cannibal and Grey Ghost I would lean more towards Cannibal being cut, and maybe just mentioned or something.

It’s crucial to remember that Fire and Blood is mostly a fantastic history book.
Meaning that some things may happen in the show that weren’t discussed in the book.
So we could still see some of the lesser dragons have some feats in the show.

Ironically enough Caraxes was the dragon of Daemon’s uncle, the father of Rhaenys, who is his political rival for much of their youth although they end up on the same side. Caraxes’s first rider Aemon did often ride alongside his siblings who were Daemon’s parents, with Daemon’s mother Alyssa taking them up on her dragon Meleys when he was just days old, so Caraxes has literally known Daemon since pretty much the day he was born. It’s quite sweet how close of a relationship they have. The fact that Rhaenys took Daemon’s mother’s dragon and Daemon took Rhaenys’s father’s dragon may hint to how intertwined their stories are, since despite them being first cousins Rhaenys becomes Daemon’s mother in law lol

I was waiting for you guys to mention Morning! Though I suppose she’s born towards the end of the Dance & never fights. Something about a pink dragon with black horns and golden wing membranes just excites the pastel goth in me. Hopefully we’ll see her in the final season! I’m so excited.

caraxes is unique, a dragon created for its rider, damon had many options to claim as Vermathor and vhagar but preferred the Blood Wyrm, his evil, unpredictable and feared clone, who loves chaos ,everything we want to see on the show

Just imagine if like the books each dragon also breathed different colored fire just like color of their body .. for example balerion flames were dark black with red streak .. sunfyre had golden flames .. Tessarions fire was cobalt blue .. Quick silver had pale white fireballs

@0hMyLife riders CAN bond with a new dragon just as long as their late dragon is dead. The only reason why it is said that riders “can’t” bond with another dragon is because dragons (typically) outlive their riders. Which is also why dragons can have multiple riders in their lifetimes. Knowing that and that Rhaegal is dead, Jon could easily bond with Drogon if given the chance.

I'm not sure why he was such a fan favourite character, he was constantly fking things up, had no talent for battle strategy, his bungling caused lots of deaths and others (often women) had to come and save the day repeatedly, yet he got all the kudos? ugh, he frustrates me.

@MrYounis26 when vhagar is nearly double the size of caraxes, even the blacks' big dragons are still nowhere near the size of vhagar... well, maybe vermithor, but besides him, the blacks would need to 2 v 1 vhagar at the least if they want to win. Sunfyre and dreamfyre aren't that big yet, so vhagar is the greens main weapon of war I'd say.

i hope to see cannibal, by the dance of dragons he mustve outgrown balerion since he was much older, the biggest untamed dragon of the time, he shouldve been seen in HotD since he flew over corlys velaryons funeral, imagine seeing a beast almost twice the size of balerion. i hope he makes it to the screen

PD he was one of the 4 dragons surviving the dance of dragons, and dissapeard. Not to be seen again, also, dragons in freedom live much longer, balerion died cuz he was kept in the pit for his last 20 years while cannibal was always free.

The show just came out and said there are 10 dragons the Targaryens have right now. A lot of the dragons in this video seemed to be in regards to Jaeharys and his wife and children. Since the show skipped over the Great Council so quickly, i don't think we'll ever see those.

You are not correct there. They will come into play.

The 10 dragons line was referring to the end of Jaehaerys' reign which was over 10 years before the show. Many dragons are born in that period.

Sunfyre in particular, whom grows very fast, is not one of those 10.

actually if you listen again, adult Rhaenyra(she's the voice over) says "10 ADULT dragons under their yolk." I take that to mean they also had hatchlings and young dragons!!!! Hopefully one day GRRM will explain that one!!

Balerion died of old age, Viserys 1 was the last to ride the dragon and never bonded with another following its death.

Gooood video, seems like the series is not that faithful to all those details, they are doing a good job, but I miss words being spoken about each dragon, they are slightly different but nothing that helps us identify them. Vhagar, Caraxes and Syrax are the only ones that you can notice major characteristics, but Seasmoke, Dreamfyre, Arrax, Vermax were not barely saw on this first season. I don't see the series willing to focus that much on dragons, they will probably cut most of the less important ones.

Could you maybe cover the Comic Series „Once and Future“ ? It’s amazing. It’s like Hellboy and Grimm mixed with the Legend of King Arthur . Bloody, dark, sometimes funny but most of the time badass brutal. For example a huge Barbarian riding on a gigantic fire breathing Lion chasing a Car while rhe protagonists (A guy and his grumpy but badass Grandma) are trying to fight him with MG. And King Arthur as the undead main Antagonist is just bonechilling

@Floristini Nah, the hype behind Cannibal is big enough reason to get him in. If they are to cut a wild dragon then I think Grey Ghost would be a better choice since there'd be only one scene with him and even that one would most likely be off screen, i am talking about Sunfyre killing him and even then it was blamed on Cannibal. I do understand the budget limit but cmon this is Cannibal we are talking about, at most we will see him in 2/3 scenes which still is more than what we would have with Grey Ghost.

I haven't seen any confirmation that ALL wild dragons would be shown. Budget isn't infinite, dragons aren't cheap and Cannibal could only fit in one or two scenes, and he has no impact on the story being told. If 4 dragons are to be cut, Cannibal would simply be one of the most logical choices to cut, as well as the small dragons in the Dragonpit (Shrykos, Morghul and Tyraxes).

Too bad we don’t get to see Bellerian the black dread in season one, The great council convenience in year 101 I believe and the black dread died in year 94 so it takes place 7 years after his death.

Danny's Dragon is an Ancient Species found in the Shadow Lands of Assai that turned into stones for Eons = Hundred Millions of Years Ago, Drogon, Viserion, and Rhaegal are born with Blood Magic since they were turned into stones. The Triplets should grow even bigger than Balerion in just hundreds of years and since they are a magical ancient species they could live older like what most dragons in fantasies do. Dragons found in the book "Fire and Blood" and in the show "House of Dragon" of the Targaryen are from the Old Valyria are True Dragons and owning 1 doesn't make u immune to fire like Danny. Old Valyrian Dragon Species still came from the same location but only in the "Shadow Lands", they still breathe fire but aren't magical creatures like Dragons Species and Old Valyrian Dragons only have a Maximum Lifespan is just 200 years like Balerion dying from an Old Age. Seeing how easily Drogon and his 2 brothers grow they should grow the size of the Frost Dragon since both species are magical creatures who complement each other species. in the show "Games of Thrones" Drogon even with it sized smaller than Balerion the Black Dread was able to melt stones, break walls and destroy ships on a single blow, Drogon dead brother Viserion even destroyed the Wall and his fire turned to blue because of the Nights King Magic (note Viserion Blue Flame is not hotter because it's blue. it was blue because it has White Walkers Magic on it) and since Drogon species are Magical Creatures their fire breaths should have magical properties enhancing the flame even more than natural Targaryen Dragon Fire breath does that's why Drogon Fire is so OP.

Nope Danny’s eggs are from Westeros. If you read the books you will know that 3 eggs are stolen then traded for gold and boats by Alyssa Farman. She stole the eggs from dragonstone to by ships to said west of Westeros

@Kevin Norwood Meraxes was shot down during the second year of Aegons conquest. As for the black dread himself, he was about 100 years older than Vhagar thus him dying before the dance.

Vhagar is still alive and the main threat. Although the blacks have more dragons the greens will have Vhagar which the blacks always have to take into consideration.

My fav Dragon in all of Movies is The Bull Dragon from Reign of Fire.

He's powerful Dominating and is very Vicious and Huge.

Dreamfyre was the dragon that laid the eggs.

Dragons can change sexes, "as changeable as a flame." They become female or male as and when they need.

She dragon is usually used to describe the personality of a dragon, which coincidentally linked to their rider's personality (as they are kind of warged, but not really).

So it seems all dragons are capable of laying eggs, although those with female personalities tend to do so more often.

This just made me realize house of the dragon might be as long as GOT. Which is like fuck! It better be good! I remember waiting every Sunday and when the season ended waiting a year or more. I truly hope this show is good and doesn’t disappoint like the last seasons of GOT.
