Lo Que Fue
pez luna Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Vos llegaste y fuiste el malo
Fuiste boca y fuiste labios
Que alumbraron esa vez
Y la luna de mi lado
Fue testigo sin pensarlo
De trillado comentario
Como un viaje solitario
En un tren imaginario
Tu recuerdo iba llegando
Desbordando lo que fue
Y una estrella azul a diario
Se colaba los armarios
Inventando con su rayo
El deseo de volver
Y hacer que el sol pueda llenar
Todo el dolor con el color
De la razón y la verdad
Y aunque la luz hoy se confunda
Con mentiras
Yo te esperaré mi vida
Aunque se vaya a acabar
The song "Lo Que Fue" by Pez Luna speaks about a past love and the memories associated with it. The first two lines of the song which depict the arrival of the person as a "summer wind" portrays a sense of spontaneity that comes with a summer breeze. The following lines, "Fuiste boca y fuiste labios, Que alumbraron esa vez" talks about the way the person's lips and mouth shone, almost like they provided light in a moment of darkness.
The chorus, "Y hacer que el sol pueda llenar Todo el dolor con el color De la razón y la verdad" signifies the longing for a brighter future by holding on to the power of reasoning and truth. The singer is determined to hold on to the belief that the future holds better opportunities and better love with the person they long for. The line "Y aunque la luz hoy se confunda Con mentiras" portrays the hardships faced today but, the singer is prepared to overcome these blues and continue to await the arrival of the beloved.
The reference to nature, such as the "summer breeze," "moon," and "blue star," adds a sense of depth and imagery to the lyrics. The words offer a vivid perception of the loss experienced and struggle encountered to cope with the memories of the past. It's a song that speaks to people experiencing the pain of a breakup and holds on to the hope of reconciliation.
