Caroline and Carolyne met when they were 3 and attended the same dance class. Jordan became a friend later through him being in their older siblings' dance classes. The band was formed after they went to auditions being held by their management company. After winning, they signed with Fervent Records and started writing songs.
PureNRG released a Christmas album A pureNRG Christmas around Labor Day 2008. The album was delayed at first due to both personal issues and busy-work with their previously released albums, but, after some consideration, was finally released. It marked the band's first Christmas album. In late 2008, they also released a remix album with the name "ReNRGized". The band described it as "very eccentric but still having the same kinda music style."
In mid-2009, after previous promotion of their new album, their last studio album The Real Thing was released. They released their final album Graduation: The Best of pureNRG on July 20, 2010.
The band decided to disband sometime in late 2010. According to an interview with TVoneLife, reasons included "wanting to be kids again" and "get back into school and education". Also according to the same interview, Carolyne went into 9th grade, Caroline went into 10th grade, and Jordan went into 12th grade in the fall of 2010. Their mission was to "entertain educate and promote Christian values to young people. Using wholesome and uplifting lyrics in our music and with music and dance in order to provide positive role-models and we just really hope that we can showcase that being a child of God is just really so awesome and nobody can ever take that away from you no matter what happens and that’s just the whole reason that we get up on stage and perform for everybody and they really hope that we can get that message across through our music."
They went on a farewell tour in the fall of 2010, celebrating the 5 years of their lives they'd spent as pureNRG. All of the members said they were very sad to be disbanding, but they felt that God was calling them out.
Their last performance was at Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood, Tennessee on March 4, 2011.
PureNRG officially disbanded on Friday, March 4, 2011.
Caroline Williams is currently a solo artist signed to iShine Records. She signed to the label in 2011. Little too crazy for you
You're so paralyzed
Can't seem to find your strength
When your wondering
If there's any hope for you
Let me tell you
Love will reach down and
Give life to your weary soul
Before you know,
(Before you know)
[Chorus:]
Get up, take your sadness
Get up, all this madness
Get up, move on past this
Just get up, just get on up
Get up, take your worries
Get up, spinning blurry
Get up, you better hurry
Just get on up
Every moment is a chance for you
Your opportunity to find a place
In the presence and in the freedom
And in the power of this wonderful grace
Love will reach down and
Give life to your weary soul
Before you know,
(Before you know)
[Chorus]
Get up, everybody hit the floor
Get up, everybody move your soul
Get up, don't know what your waiting for
Come on
Get up, you don't have to hurt no more
Get up, pick up all yourself and go
Get up, just let the music take control
Just get on up, just get up, get up
There's no spirit to broken apart
No too hardened unchangeable heart
Love can reach you wherever you are
And lift you higher, and higher,
And higher, and higher
Take your sadness
All this madness
Move on past this
Just get up, just get on up
Get up, take your worries
Get up, spinning blurry
Get up, you better hurry
Just get on up
[Chorus]
Just get on up
Get up, take your worries
Get up, spinning blurry
Get up, you better hurry
Just get on up
Get up, get up
Get up, everybody hit the floor
Get up, everybody move your soul
Get up, don't know what your waiting for
Just get up, get up, get up
The song "Get Up" by pureNRG is an uplifting tune that encourages listeners to push through tough times and find hope and strength through love and grace. The opening lyrics describe the feeling of being overwhelmed and paralyzed by the chaos of the world, but the chorus proposes the solution: to get up and move forward, leaving sadness and worries behind. The song reminds listeners that every moment is an opportunity to find freedom and power in the presence of love.
The repetition of the phrase "just get on up" throughout the song emphasizes the importance of taking action and not allowing oneself to stay stuck in a rut. The bridge of the song offers a message of hope to those who feel like their spirits are broken or their hearts are too hardened: love can still reach them and lift them up.
"Pulse," the album that "Get Up" is featured on, was pureNRG's second studio album and was released in 2010. The group was made up of three young artists: Caroline Grace (who was 15 at the time of the album's release), Laura Caron (who was 16), and Jordan Yates (who was 14). "Get Up" was one of the singles released from the album and became a popular song for the group.
