Caroline and Carolyne met when they were 3 and attended the same dance class. Jordan became a friend later through him being in their older siblings' dance classes. The band was formed after they went to auditions being held by their management company. After winning, they signed with Fervent Records and started writing songs.
PureNRG released a Christmas album A pureNRG Christmas around Labor Day 2008. The album was delayed at first due to both personal issues and busy-work with their previously released albums, but, after some consideration, was finally released. It marked the band's first Christmas album. In late 2008, they also released a remix album with the name "ReNRGized". The band described it as "very eccentric but still having the same kinda music style."
In mid-2009, after previous promotion of their new album, their last studio album The Real Thing was released. They released their final album Graduation: The Best of pureNRG on July 20, 2010.
The band decided to disband sometime in late 2010. According to an interview with TVoneLife, reasons included "wanting to be kids again" and "get back into school and education". Also according to the same interview, Carolyne went into 9th grade, Caroline went into 10th grade, and Jordan went into 12th grade in the fall of 2010. Their mission was to "entertain educate and promote Christian values to young people. Using wholesome and uplifting lyrics in our music and with music and dance in order to provide positive role-models and we just really hope that we can showcase that being a child of God is just really so awesome and nobody can ever take that away from you no matter what happens and that’s just the whole reason that we get up on stage and perform for everybody and they really hope that we can get that message across through our music."
They went on a farewell tour in the fall of 2010, celebrating the 5 years of their lives they'd spent as pureNRG. All of the members said they were very sad to be disbanding, but they felt that God was calling them out.
Their last performance was at Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood, Tennessee on March 4, 2011.
PureNRG officially disbanded on Friday, March 4, 2011.
Caroline Williams is currently a solo artist signed to iShine Records. She signed to the label in 2011. Stretching a mile high
Take a look at the ocean
Far as your eye can see
And think of me
Take a look at the desert
Do you feel like a grain of sand
Where you go is where I am
I'm always thinking of you
Take a look around you
I'm spelling it out one by one
[Chorus:]
I love you more
Than the sun and the stars
That I taught how to shine
You are mine
And You shine for me too
I love You
Yesterday and today
And tomorrow
I'll say it again and again
I love You more
Just a face in the city
Just a tear on crowded street
But You're one in a million
And You belong to me, yeah
And I want you to know
That I'm not letting go
Even when you come undone
[Chorus]
I love You More [Repeat x2]
Shine for me,
Shine for me,
Shine for me,
Shine on, shine on
Shine for me
[Chorus: x2]
I love You more [Repeat x2]
The lyrics of the song "More" by pureNRG depicts a portrayal of an unconditional love that is emphasized by the spiritual and universal presence of God. The song begins with an invitation to observe and marvel at the beauty of nature before connecting to a higher power, stating that wherever the listener goes, He will always be with them. The song encourages to look at things in life that are often taken for granted and overlooked, such as mountains, oceans, and even deserts, and realize the magnificence of God's creation. These lines are powerful, as they convey that the love of God is omnipresent and knows no bounds.
As the song progresses, it continues to express a divine love for someone - possibly, the listener - emphasizing that this love is beyond anything that they can imagine. It is a love that transcends human relationships and can only come from above. Even in the midst of chaos and when someone is breaking down or is feeling downtrodden, God's love for them is steadfast, and He will never let them go. Throughout the song, the lyrics continue to emphasize the singer's deep love for the listener, reassuring them that it is unconditional and will last forever. Finally, the song ends with an emotional plea for the listener to shine for God, the ultimate source of love and inspiration in their life.
Overall, the song "More" is a powerful message reminding us of the unconditional love of God, which provides strength and encouragement to all. It is a call to never give up and to continue shining, through thick and thin, because we are His and we are loved.
