Caroline and Carolyne met when they were 3 and attended the same dance class. Jordan became a friend later through him being in their older siblings' dance classes. The band was formed after they went to auditions being held by their management company. After winning, they signed with Fervent Records and started writing songs.
PureNRG released a Christmas album A pureNRG Christmas around Labor Day 2008. The album was delayed at first due to both personal issues and busy-work with their previously released albums, but, after some consideration, was finally released. It marked the band's first Christmas album. In late 2008, they also released a remix album with the name "ReNRGized". The band described it as "very eccentric but still having the same kinda music style."
In mid-2009, after previous promotion of their new album, their last studio album The Real Thing was released. They released their final album Graduation: The Best of pureNRG on July 20, 2010.
The band decided to disband sometime in late 2010. According to an interview with TVoneLife, reasons included "wanting to be kids again" and "get back into school and education". Also according to the same interview, Carolyne went into 9th grade, Caroline went into 10th grade, and Jordan went into 12th grade in the fall of 2010. Their mission was to "entertain educate and promote Christian values to young people. Using wholesome and uplifting lyrics in our music and with music and dance in order to provide positive role-models and we just really hope that we can showcase that being a child of God is just really so awesome and nobody can ever take that away from you no matter what happens and that’s just the whole reason that we get up on stage and perform for everybody and they really hope that we can get that message across through our music."
They went on a farewell tour in the fall of 2010, celebrating the 5 years of their lives they'd spent as pureNRG. All of the members said they were very sad to be disbanding, but they felt that God was calling them out.
Their last performance was at Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood, Tennessee on March 4, 2011.
PureNRG officially disbanded on Friday, March 4, 2011.
Caroline Williams is currently a solo artist signed to iShine Records. She signed to the label in 2011. Although she has not yet recorded a full length album or released any singles or EPs (she wants to focus on school and education), she is currently a television actress on the show iShine KNECT on Trinity Broadcasting Network. She recorded two songs called "Shook Up" by Jon Fulton, originally entitled "Shook Up My World", and "Heaven Open" by Everlife originally entitled "Heaven Open Your Eyes". They were released for purchase on iTunes from the album iShine All Starz Vol. 3. Her stage name is now Caroline Grace. She tours with various artists on iShine Records such as Mission Six, cKenzi, and The Rubyz. She is featured on Season 4 on iShine KNECT.
Jordan Yates and Carolyne Myers are currently taking a musical hiatus so they can focus on school and education. However, they plan to work on projects that involve singing in the future.
PureNRG officially disbanded on Friday, March 4, 2011.

Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na on the radio
Na, Na, Na, on the radio
Everybody has a song to sing
Don't keep it to yourself
And everybody has a gift to bring
Don't leave it on the shelf
Right where you are
And everybody has there very own way to shine like a star!
Chorus:
So when you here this on the radio
NYC to LA
Remember love can make us one
One world, One hope, One universe
So everybody join the band and sing
With you we can make a change
So when you hear this on the radio
Let it rain, Let it rain, Let me hear you say
Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, on the radio
Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na on the radio
Na, Na, Na, on the radio
Everybody's had one of those days
When nothing's going right
Everybody's had some hard aches
Some lonely tears they've cried
But everybody's got love to give
And arms to hold
Anybody who needs a friend
You're not alone
So when you here this on the radio
Your hometown to outer space
Remember love can make us one
One world, One hope, One universe
So everybody join the band and sing
With you we can make a change
So when you hear this on the radio
Let it rain, Let it rain, Let me hear you say
Let's come together
And help each other
Let's let the whole world see
Yeah
Yeah
So when you here this on the radio
Your hometown to outer space
Remember love can make us one
One world, One hope, One universe
So everybody join the band and sing
With you we can make a change
So when you hear this on the radio
Let it rain, Let it rain, Let me hear you say

12 year old me swore that PureNRG would always be my favorite band, and that Jordan was my “celebrity crush.” 21 year old me can’t believe that this video is so old that it has the black frame around it
