I’ve seen an add that’s for ‘speechify’ (I believe that’s what it’s called) one of their ads state that: ‘if you have adhd this will save 10 hours but by all means skip this ad!’
1. This is exploiting that. I have adhd myself and it’s just a freaking text to speech app. It will not save 10 hours of time at all, it may help people who read slow but probably not 10 hours.
2. The ‘but you can skip this ad ahahaha’ tactic is just awful.

If they are changing the amount of rent you owe with this contract through Comcast then you wouldn't owe anything for breaking the lease early. They are infact breaking the lease by changing it's previously agreed-upon terms. You can move out at the end of the month without owing them anything. You already have a signed contract, they can't change shit without you agreeing to it.

About the dislikes: as a small creator, I liked having dislikes because it allowed me to see if the video I made was bad so I wouldn’t make something like it again. Now it is no longer public and I could get more hateful comments (this applies to everyone btw). I hope youtube will learn their lesson and re-add the dislike button

I have to agree with you on the All-State. Switched to them because it was cheaper. Well last week I hit a deer in a rental car , went down to my local All-State office to file a claim and they told me that my car insurance had lapsed 6 months ago, because I was late by a couple days on one payment so they canceled my insurance. This happened to me last winter. I missed a payment because I get them digitally and I opened it and forgot about it. They sent a reminder by mail but I had left to visit my family when it arrived. So they cancelled my insurance. But this is Sweden so if you don't have insurance you get to know it. I got a penalty for every day I didn't have insurance, and it's a big amount. Luckily they informed me of that digitally so I actually got that and could call the insurance company up and explain... But I ended up paying hundreds of dollars.

I reckon the reason free trials require you to enter payment info is so that they know you have a payment method set up (and potentially as a method to avoid getting trials with 10 different e-mails). That way, the trial gets to do its job, ie getting you used to the premium version of whateverthefuck so that you're likely to keep using it when the trial ends (and therefore becoming a paying customer, more lucrative than the ads you watch).
So it's not that much of an asshole design (though as a person who refuses to set up online payment to avoid easy internet spending sprees i do get why seeing free trials and not having access to them is frustrating)

7:20 Yeah, I ran into that trying to log into an old account from years ago in 2018 because I wanted to play Facebook games, and it just so happened to pick three accounts that weren't even active anymore. No option to change them or anything, the other option was "send them a document proving it was me" and you can guess why I didn't do that. Guess the account's gone for good, but maybe that was a blessing in disguise

Notability one isn’t totally correct. I bought the app (prior to the new update where it became free) and I still have access to the 12 tools and cloud backup. I also got some new templates with the update without having to subscribe. The one problem I’m seeing is that you used to be able to buy sticker packs/templates with micro transactions but now you can only access them with the subscription, not a one time purchase :(

Ok, they did help me out in the end so I can't disrespect them too much but Oculus is all nice to you until you try to sign in on another device. First, their "Forgot Password" system doesn't really work. It never sends you an email. Second, when I went to sign in after contacting customer service and having them send me an email directly to reset my password, the merging system put me in an infinite loop of it telling me to verify me merging accounts (FB and Oculus) and then telling me I already did and to sign in with Facebook. I had to contact customer service again not 30 mins after and they told me to close the app and try again, it worked even though I had tried that multiple times. Again, I still love oculus products so I am not mad at them. It is a bit strange but maybe that is their way of verifying your commitment.

I did end up in the same situation as one of the posts when making a resume. Ended up paying anyways as I was under a deadline. Then, after 2 years, I needed to make edits and I again paid because it was to be edited and produced in 2 hours. I hated every second of it.

6:06 I think they require you to put in your information so you would have to go out and buy another card to go through free trial again, if you weren't required to put in information to confirm whether you already had your free trial or not most people would just click free trial over and over again so they can get free services. If people are just abusing free trial how would that company/service make money?

4:39 .. update to that count is 25k: 436K ratio so has gone from a 94.3% dislike ratio to a 94.5% dislike ratio... staying pretty dang consistent despite people not being able to see it (without extensions) which totally goes against the bullox reasonings they used in said video otherwise the ratio would have changed over that 140k more "votes" but it didn't.

4:43 when you "delete" your account from some companies, what they do is just set a flag onto your info on theyr database, that doesn't allow you account to be found in searches on the db. They don't really remove you information.
