Trying to make a difference today
They think my attempt's in vain
"You could never save them all
So why bother trying at all"
Against this view I will remain.
I'll be living day by day
Giving the love that He gave
Of the sparrow He keeps track
So every starfish I'll throw back
One difference is still difference made
And that's okay...
But it's not gonna change the world
Giving money or giving time
No, it's not gonna change the world
And you know-
That it's not gonna change the world
Given power of any kind
No, it's not gonna change the world
Still I'm gonna try.
The song "Change the world" by Seraph's Coal talks about the struggle of trying to make a difference in the world while being constantly bombarded with negativity and discouragement. The singer of the song is aware of the fact that changing the world is not an easy task and it may seem impossible due to the vastness of the issues that need to be addressed. However, the song emphasizes that making even a small difference matters, and every act of kindness counts. The singer is determined to keep on trying to make a difference, even if it seems futile at times.
The song also highlights the importance of faith and love in creating a positive change in the world. The singer states that he will keep on living day by day, giving the love that God had given him. The reference to the sparrow and starfish reminds us of the biblical story of how God takes care of even the smallest creatures on earth. The song emphasizes that every single effort, no matter how small, can still make a difference.
Overall, Seraph's Coal's "Change the world" is a powerful reminder that we should not give up on making a difference in the world, no matter how insignificant our actions may seem. The song encourages us to keep on trying, spreading love and kindness along the way.
