Long Distance Call
seraphs coal Lyrics

That seems right to a Man
But in the end leads to destruction
There is a means
A means set to it's end
Fulfilment found finds destruction.
And there's no other way
Within distance of our Reasoning
Save sweet surrender,
Every tower that we build
In the name of Mind and power of Man
Will be levelled to the ground
Leaving us render, a call for sweet surrender.
Remember the thoughts of yester-Man
Easy come, easy go, easy gone.
The lyrics of "Long Distance Call" by Seraphs Coal are deeply philosophical and speak to the limitations of human thinking and the consequences of our actions. The opening lines suggest that there is a certain path that may seem right to us initially but ultimately leads to our downfall. The means to achieve our objectives, if not aligning with our true purpose, leads to destruction as well. The singer emphasizes the fact that there is no other way to navigate through life within the bounds of our reasoning and thus, we must surrender to the fate that awaits us.
The song goes on to criticize the human tendency of trying to build towers of power and knowledge that ultimately crumble to the ground, leaving us with nothing but a call for sweet surrender. The lyrics suggest that all our accomplishments in the name of mind and power will ultimately be leveled to the ground, rendering them meaningless. The final lines of the song remind us of the ephemeral nature of our existence and how easily everything that we think is permanent can be taken away.
