Sparkle
stellar* Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Barricade abandoned
I'm armed but standing down
Meet me as the smoke clears
On the middle ground
Measure up the bruises
The marks I've left on you
I'll show you where you wounded
Where your aim was true

Love, love, love
A human emotion
Can't get enough
Oh how it makes me feel
Love, love, love
A human emotion
Can't get enough
Oh how it makes me feel

Talk about distracted
Miss the view for trees
Waiting games well acted
Bring you to your knees
Motorcars and highways
Drag me far from here

Where you are my heart is
Don't be home late

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of stellar*'s song "Sparkle" convey a complex mix of emotions and experiences within a romantic relationship. The opening lines, "Barricade abandoned, I'm armed but standing down, meet me as the smoke clears, on the middle ground," suggest a willingness to let go of defenses and meet halfway after a conflict or disagreement. It portrays a desire for resolution and finding common ground.

The next lines, "Measure up the bruises, the marks I've left on you, I'll show you where you wounded, where your aim was true," indicate a level of self-awareness and vulnerability. It speaks of recognizing the impact one's actions have had on the other person and being willing to take responsibility for the wounds caused. The intention here seems to be open communication and honesty in order to move forward in the relationship.

The chorus, which emphasizes the repeated phrase "Love, love, love, a human emotion, can't get enough, oh how it makes me feel," captures the intoxicating and addictive essence of love. It expresses the overwhelming desire and craving for love, highlighting its powerful hold on one's emotions. The song acknowledges the depth and intensity of love, suggesting that it can both uplift and consume a person.

The bridge of the song takes a different turn, introducing a sense of distraction and longing. The lyrics "Talk about distracted, miss the view for trees, waiting games well acted, bring you to your knees" describe moments of being caught up in the distractions of life and playing games in the relationship. This part of the song conveys a yearning for clarity and a realization that games and distractions can bring a relationship to its knees.

The final lines, "Motorcars and highways, drag me far from here, where you are my heart is, don't be home late," suggest a physical separation or distance between the two individuals. It implies that no matter the distance, their love is connected and their hearts are intertwined. There is a plea for the other person not to be absent or late, emphasizing the importance of their presence.

Overall, "Sparkle" explores the complexities of love, the desire for resolution and understanding, the addictive nature of love, and the challenges that can arise within a romantic relationship.

Coal B2-26

Personally I don't like her having an extra shot. Its a double barrel shotgun and it essentially makes her the queen of close quarters. She's one of my favorite heroes, but this just seems to op.

Croissance

Now it's 3 barrel shotgun
