Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Show me that you love me
Show me the you trust me
Show me that's it's different then the other guy you (you know)
Show me that you love me
Show me the you trust me
Show me that's it's different then the other guy you fucking
Gotta be honest with you I don't know
We be hot
We be cold
But never fold (never fold)
Say you want it
Now you acting anti-social
Why you act like you working here for corporate? (Brrr)
I gotta be honest
Feeling is new
I gotta be honest
Girl, I'm so into you
I gotta be honest
You got me splurging in the coupe
You got me spilling back the roof
Then go shopping at Lenox
If you ride for me baby say yeah yeah
Yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Slide or die for me baby say yeah yeah
Yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Put you on some new shit have you rolling gabba leaf
Imma take you the coney on the Eastside of the (D)
Ima make it too exclusive
They won't have access to me
Got you putting on the mask
And thinking you gone slide for me (Sliding)
They wanna know we let em think
They wanna grow we watch em sink
Yeah you know the winters cold and it's okay to wear the mink
Momma hit motor city, yeah
Momma in the motor city, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah (Let me know)
Yeah, yeah
We on the eastside
I gotta be honest
Feeling is new
I gotta be honest
Girl, I'm so into you
I gotta be honest
You got me splurging in the coupe
You got me spilling back the roof
Then go shopping at Lenox
If you ride for me baby say yeah yeah
Yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Slide or die for me baby say yeah yeah
Yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
If you ride for me baby

Slide or die for me baby (baby)
Keep on rollin' with you baby

Overall Meaning

The Black and White's song Honest speaks about the feelings of hate, guilt, and regret that the singer is burdened with. They’re trying to figure out how they ended up in this situation and how they can overcome it. The lyrics of the song also speak about how the singer wants to end the fight they are having with themselves and save themselves at all costs. They want their life back and to live it honestly, without guilt or regret.

The lyrics also suggest that the singer has gone through some terrible experiences, which have left them scarred. @Dranzer Jetli thing is they are wrong when comes to pokemon. While there are trainers who treat thier pokemon with cruelty. Most pokemon trainers aren't like that.

There's are videos that go deeper into this topic. About how team plasma while having a noble goal and some fair points is wrong.

Also this series is literally about friendship. With the heroes actually stopping the villains that do enslave pokemon (team rocket).

Also most pokemon aren't pressed into slavery against thier will in the lore and story. While pokemon battles are a major part in pokemon. It isn't about the fighting It's about friendship and cooperation. Outside of battle, You even see pokemon and people having fun, being friends and helping each other out.

In the games and anime. Pokemon aren't slaves forced to battle each other. Pokemon companions and friends. Outside of battle Pokemon and humans cooperate and coexist in day to day life.

If you only focus on the battles, and actions of team rocket and ignore everything else that happens. You can see the points made by Plasma in Black and white.

But if you go beyond just the battles. Beyond just the fighting and the actions of team rocket. You get to see team plasma is wrong. You get to see humans and Pokemon interacting out of battle. You get to see the coexistence and cooperation they share. You get to see humans treating pokemon as equals, you get to see humans treating pokemon as friends.

Team plasma has a point in Not wanting Pokemon to be used for battle... But to outright separate pokemon and people is wrong. To get rid of the friendship and cooperation the two share is wrong.
