Founded in late-2015, this Australian indie-rock outfit humbly went about forging an eclectic sound, splicing subtle jazz and Brit-rock influences over catchy guitar work and melodic vocals.
Their debut EP, 'Indigo Club' is due for release in late 2016. The record was tracked in Adelaide (Matt Hills), mixed by Magoo (The Jungle Giants, Art vs. Science) and mastered by Steve Smart of Studio 301 (British India, Vance Joy).
Just this year the band has caught support slots for the likes of Andy Bull, Last Dinosaurs and Hey Geronimo as well as performing on the YEWTH line-up alongside acts such as Montaigne and Tigertown.

Didn't wanna waste your time
Aaah Aaah Aaah Aaah
Might I forgot?
Say shes bringing popcorn too
Aaah Aaah Aaah
Oh you've got some friends
Doesn't matter what you say
I don't buy that white tucay
She precise me
Kinda analyze me
I've got Monopoly at home
At home
Oh my God!
Didn't wanna waste your time
Aaah Aaah Aaah Aaah
Might I forgot?
Say shes bringing popcorn too
Aaah Aaah Aaah
Do you wanna hear my phone?
Bought a mentos at home
I guess I don't know you
She precise me
Kinda analyze me
I've got Monopoly at home
At home
Oh my God!
Didn't wanna waste your time
Aaah Aaah Aaah Aaah
Might I forgot?
Say shes bringing popcorn too
Aaah Aaah Aaah
Aaah Aaah Aaah
Aaah Aaah Aaah
Aaah Aaah Aaah
Oh my God!
Didn't wanna waste your time
Aaah Aaah Aaah Aaah
Might I forgot?
Say shes bringing popcorn too
Aaah Aaah Aaah
The lyrics to The Montreal's song Y2K can be interpreted in many different ways, but some possible meanings arise from the words and the tone of the song. One possible interpretation is that the singer is expressing frustration with someone who is not being honest, perhaps a romantic partner or a friend. The references to popcorn, Mentos, and Monopoly suggest a casual setting, such as a house party or a hangout, where people are more relaxed and may not be fully aware of the consequences of their actions.
The repetition of the lines "Oh my God!" and "Didn't wanna waste your time" could be seen as the singer's way of trying to communicate urgency and frustration without being confrontational. The use of the word "precise" instead of "prize" or "price" could be a deliberate choice to highlight the theme of precision and accuracy, which could tie into the idea of analyzing someone or something.
Overall, the lyrics to Y2K are ambiguous and open to interpretation, but they convey a sense of unanswered questions and unspoken truths that add to the song's melancholy and introspective mood.
