When Will I See You Again
three degrees Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
When will I see you again?
When will we share precious moments?
Will I have to wait forever?
Will I have to suffer (suffer)
And cry the whole night through?
When will our hearts beat together?
Are we in love or just friends?
Is this my beginning or is this the end? (is this the end?)
When will I see you again?
(When will I see you again?)
When will I see you again, love?
(Precious moments)
Are we in love or just friends?
Is this my beginning or is this the end? (is this the end?)
When will I see you again?
(When will I see you again?)
Sweet, sweet love of mine
(When will I see you again?)
Come on, come on
(When will I see you again?)
Tell me, yeah
(When will I see you again?)
My sweet lover, yeah
(When will I see you again?)
Ooh, yeah
(When will I see you again?)
Come on, come on
(When will I see you again?)
Come on, come on
(When will I see you again?)
Ooh ooh, yeah
(When will I see you again?)
(When will I see you again?)
The lyrics of "When Will I See You Again" by The Three Degrees convey a sense of longing and uncertainty about a romantic relationship. The singer is questioning when they will next see their partner, and whether they will have to wait indefinitely. They also wonder if their relationship is one of love or friendship, and if they are at the beginning or end of it.
The opening lines of the song, "When will I see you again? / When will we share precious moments?" set the tone for the rest of the track. The singer is asking when they will next get to spend time with their partner and make memories together. This desire for connection is emphasized in the repeated refrain of "When will I see you again?"
The lyrics also contain a sense of desperation, with the singer asking if they will "have to suffer (suffer) / And cry the whole night through?" This suggests that the absence of their partner is causing them emotional pain and they cannot bear to be without them.
Overall, "When Will I See You Again" is a song about the uncertainty and longing that can come with romantic relationships, and the desire to be reunited with a loved one.

Know what you say Kevin. In 1974 while in the university I met a beautiful co-ed, fell in love deeply but in 1976
we split up due to circumstances that sadly were of a personal responsibility nature.
This song became very important and close to us.
Fast forward 10 years. Circumstances again brought us back together. Personal responsibility discharged honorably. We came together once again, determined never to be apart again ever.
This became our wedding dance song that only we knew the reason for its meaning to us. This year will mark our 36th wedding anniversary.
We're both retired and enjoying a wonderful life together. Wish you and your bride an outstanding wedding Anniversary.
