Blurry is the figure on the horse, the physical representation of a force pulling Tyler into his dark thoughts and dark moments. Tyler gets lured in when he’s alone, he follows Blurry without really realizing. His friends and family try to pull him out, yell out to him what is happening. He sees the yellow petals, he sees the pieces of happiness and tries to run away from Blurry, realizing what is happening. He yearns for the yellow happiness and not the black and red darkness, but he always seems to be taken back to the dark thoughts. Josh was one of the people throwing the petals, trying to have his friend realize what was going on, but to no avail.

Theory of understanding deeper meaning in the video:

1. The man in the red cloak is a new representation of Blurryface. (Hinted by him giving the black streaks on Tyler's neck, then to have the black streaks grow into the last era's paint.)

2. Blurryface is the representation of Tyler's problems and general insecurities. (Depression, Insecurity etc. Aka mental illness).

3. Clancy said they can not see yellow and to cover him. Yellow is the color and sign of support to mental illness.

4. Blurryface returns to Tyler here after heavydirtysoul and reclaims him from his previous freedom (him roaming around) by putting black lines on his neck. Which eventually takes over Tyler (when Tyler stumbles, the black expands into how it was in the previous era) and causes him to walk obediently behind Blurryface in defeat.

5. The people above Tyler are his Jumpsuit. In attempt to save Tyler they throw him a sign of hope and support (yellow flowers petals). Tyler looks at them for a minute and realizes he has support from others to keep on fighting. Then suddenly he breaks free and runs for his life away from Blurryface.

6. Unfortunately he stumbles and falls. Which then Blurryface then captures him again, but you see he has a yellow flower within his hands. This means he's still holding onto the support they gave him even though Blurryface won in this video.

7. The person remaining above when looking at Tyler is indeed Josh. But he's standing there to indicate that "This isn't over, Blurryface." And eventually they'll free Tyler from him.

8. Tyler says in Jumpsuit also, that if you needed anyone you'd have to hurt him. This is him talking to Blurryface saying that he'd follow, but he would be fighting his ass off while doing it. So his new found support will keep him fighting through this entire album.

Also.. Nico and The Niners (the people singing the song) are the banditøs above saying they want to rescue those trapped in Dema (Depression).

Edit: The Heavydirtysoul flashbacks are because his happened after! Josh is the person that escaped from Dema first of the two (him and Tyler)! He was helping Tyler break free in Heavydirtysoul and he's trying again now in Jumpsuit! Tyler realizes it's possible to break free and his anger and determination to be free shows in how hardcore the song is sung! It also shows when youstart hearing the anger in his voice, his will power and anger makes the black fade off his neck and he runs for it! Thanks for listening if you got this far!

Edit 3: The Nico and The Niners thing is being brought up A LOT. So I'll reword it the right way. I meant the Nico and the Niners SONG is about rescuing those trapped in Dema. Nico and The Niners as PEOPLE are definitely the bishops. The reversed lyrics are the banditøs (the people standing above the trench) talking about rebellion. And Tyler's lyrics is him speaking from an escapists point of view, trying to plan an escape.

Funny enough, when this album first came out a few years ago, I thought it was good, but not super memorable, but now a few years later I’m listening to it again and am just now realizing what a masterpiece it is. Guys remember at the end of Heavydirtysoul, we saw Tyler was still riding the car which was shown burning and how Josh's hair was dyed yellow, which means Tyler still continue with his path. In this video we saw the real ending of Heavydirtysoul, the one with the burnt car which resulted to Tyler waking up from his "sleep". This should be the real ending, Tyler getting the jumpsuit and then going into hiatus, which explains difference in hair length from the time he got the jumpsuit and now that he woke up.
The red hood wanted Tyler to finish the blurryface, which was left after they went into hiatus, that's why it puts black paint on Tyler's neck just like in the blurryface songs. But Josh, who from the start was awake, that's why he has yellow dyed hair in Heavydirtysoul instead of the red color of blurryface, woke him up from the 'blurryface'(he did try to wake him at Heavydirtysoul but he failed, that's why at the end Tyler was still riding the car) this time he succeeded. Tyler ran away from the era of blurryface onto the trench era which explains the change from, l-/, this to ,ll-//, this its the two of them finally waking up and leaving blurryface behind to their new album trench.

My brother committed suicide last weekend by overdosing on something. He was found with headphones on, presumably listening to something. This is his youtube account. He made a playlist containing 6 songs that was edited the day he passed. This is one of the 6 songs. With the method he used, he was dead after about 30 minutes, probably unconscious around 12 minutes. I like to think that it was peaceful for him with his music on. In the lyrics, we hear Tyler talk about the city of Dema, a fictional city ruled by nine bishops, one of whom being Nico. Hence "Nico and the Niners". Jumpsuit, Levitate, and Nico and the Niners are all about a character named Clancy's escape attempts, along with a group called the Banditos. "Jumpsuit" refers to the jumpsuits the Banditos wear, showing the color yellow throughout, the color which cannot be seen by the bishops. After successfully escaping Dema (Nico and the Niners) and meeting in the mountains with a large group of Banditos (Levitate), Nico finds Clancy once again, and catches him, once again. This album is telling the story of a world Tyler created to represent his struggles with mental health and how it is a constant cycle of falling down and getting back up and trying again.
In this video Tyler has escaped from Dema (a city ruled by 9 bishops, also referred to as Nico and the Niners, which represents being trapped in mental health struggles) into Trench (name of the album and the place in between Dema and safety, represeted by the colour green) but is being chased by Blurryface/Nico (represented by the colour red) who uses Tyler's insecurities to bring him under his control again as he leads him back. When Nico is controlling Tyler he puts black paint on his neck and hands (feels most insecure about the music he makes with his hands and the words he says). The banditos (rebels who have already escaped Dema and who represent Tyler's support system, including Josh) throw him yellow flowers (the bishops can't see the colour yellow so it is a symbol of resistance and alliance to the rebels), which give him hope and motivate him to run away from Nico but he ends up tripping and is captured again. Sorry that's a lot of info!
when tyler says 'you have to grab my throat and lift me in the air....tie me down and break both my hands' i think he's talking about the areas of his body that get covered in black paint, the only way he will give in to Blurryface/Nico is if he physically can't make music anymore because it's how he battles with his mental health.
