Your eyes say it all (all)
All
They're fixed upon an object of desire
You can't control (control)
No (no)
But gravity compels you to ignite (ignite)
Oh
'Til our time and space combine you'll fantasize (size)
The unknown
Ooh
Girl, it's taking off the ground
You know how I put it down
Have you seeing stars baby
This is the big bang so unpredictable
Sex, love, and drama, who's in control?
Mars versus Venus, yeah
But when the worlds collide
This is the big bang
Step into the ring of fire
Sex, love and drama, who can tame desire?
Mars versus Venus
Seduce and analyze
Yeah
Objective is to conquer deep
And I, make paradise
Girl, it's taking off the ground
You know how I put it down
Have you seeing stars, oh
This is the big bang so unpredictable
Sex, love, and drama, who's in control? (oh, oh)
Mars versus Venus, yeah (oh, Mars versus Venus, Mars versus Venus)
But when the worlds collide
This is the big bang (yeah)
Step into the ring of fire (fire, yeah)
Sex, love and drama, who can tame desire? (know that I'm winning)
Mars versus Venus (oh, I know you see red, baby)
This is the big bang so unpredictable
Sex, love, and drama, who's in control? (gotta love thing, no)
Mars versus Venus (Mars versus Venus)
But when the worlds collide
This is the big bang
Step into the ring of fire
Sex, love and drama, who can tame desire?
Mars versus Venus
Oh, pitch black
Lost amidst the galaxy between the sheets
Want that only you and I
Generate when we collide
Hold that
Don't make my emotions peak
If I let go then I'll be weak
Your control is my defeat
I repeat never, never, never, never
Will I give up no, no, no, no
(I ain't givin' up, no)
This is the big bang so unpredictable
Sex, love, and drama, who's in control? (so unpredictable)
Mars versus Venus, yeah (oh, Mars versus Venus, Mars versus Venus)
But when the worlds collide
This is the big bang
Step into the ring of fire (she on fire)
Sex, love and drama, who can tame desire?
Mars versus Venus (yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah, ooh)
This is the big bang so unpredictable (this ain't a love thing, no)
Sex, love, and drama, who's in control?
Mars versus Venus (Mars versus Venus, if you wanna feel it)
But when the worlds collide
This is the big bang (ooh, catch it in orbit)
Step into the ring of fire (fire)
Sex, love and drama, who can tame desire?
Mars versus Venus
But when the worlds collide
I don't know if I win
But I know that I wanna do it again (Mars versus Venus)
I don't know if I win (but when the worlds collide)
But I know that I wanna do it again, yeah
I don't know if I win (world collide)
But I know that I wanna do it again, yeah (oh, oh-oh, oh yeah)
(Love and desire)
I don't know if I'll ever win (desire)
Mars versus Venus
In Usher's song "Mars vs. Venus," the lyrics describe the intense and unpredictable nature of a sexual attraction between two people. The first verse refers to the way that someone's eyes can reveal their deep desire and how the pull of that desire can be irresistible. The chorus refers to the collision of two worlds and the exploration of who is in control in a sexual relationship. The next verses describe the willingness to give into the attraction, the desire for paradise, and the fear of losing control. The final lines of the song express a desire to repeat the experience despite not knowing who will come out on top.
The lyrics of "Mars vs. Venus" suggest that whoever is in control in a sexual relationship is ultimately unpredictable and that there is always an element of risk and surrender involved. It also highlights the idea that men and women, symbolized by Mars and Venus respectively, are often at odds when it comes to sexual dynamics, which can create an exciting tension. Overall, the lyrics suggest that the collision of two worlds, whether tied to sexual attraction or not, can be unpredictable and difficult to tame.
