I'm awake now, and i can't wait
To relieve my yesterdays
All the words I try to say
I've lost them all
Today I watch you walk away
Realize why you won't stay
Just send it all
What have I done?
What have I done?
To make you love me
What have I done?
To make you hate me
And try to blame me
I'll take it all
Take it all
Awake
I'm awake now, and I can't wait
To relieve my yesterdays
All the words I try to say
I've lost them all
Today I watch you walk away
Realize why you won't stay
The world caught upon your face
Just send it all
What have I done?
What have I done?
To make you love me
What have I done?
To make you hate me
What have I done?
And try to blame me
I'll take it all
Take it all
I'm awake now!
I'm awake now!
I'm awake!
Awake
I'm awake now, and I can't wait
The lyrics of "Awake" by Wetwerks seem to be about regret and trying to make amends. The singer is awake and ready to face the consequences of the things they have done in the past. They seem to be reflecting on a particular relationship that has ended and trying to understand what went wrong. The chorus, "What have I done? To make you love me, What have I done? To make you hate me, And try to blame me, I'll take it all," suggests that the singer is taking responsibility for the problems in the relationship, even though it may not have been entirely their fault.
The second verse continues to explore the aftermath of the broken relationship. The singer watches the other person walk away, realizing that they won't stay because of something the singer has done. The world seems to be catching up with them, possibly referring to the consequences of their actions. However, the singer seems ready to face it all and take responsibility for their past mistakes.
Overall, the lyrics of "Awake" seem to be a powerful reflection on personal responsibility and the consequences of our actions in relationships. The singer is awake and ready to confront their mistakes, even though it may be painful.
