Great video! Learned more in these few minutes than I did in a month of reading online, even other youtube video's and even on the wiki-doom site. But I gots me some question.
Let's see if I got this right...
Once ZDL is opened, the Source Port is the engine(?) like GZDoom or Zandronium. The IWAD section is for the "episode's" like Ultimate Doom, Doom 2, TNT, or Plutonia. And the External Files are the mods themselves (I think) like brutal19.pk3 (which is the file name for my Brutal Doom). What I still don't get is that in the video you loaded a WAD in the External Files section, WHEN do you know when to differentiate between WAD's that go in the IWAD section and the External Files section?

+D Sandoval To answer your first question, yes that's correct. GZDoom is the engine, the IWads are the episodes more or less and the wads are the mods, it's hard to differentiate which wads need certain IWads unless the readme file for the wad says to run it using a certain IWad. Normally you can just try all 4 until you find one that works but both Final Doom IWads are essentially the same as Doom II unless you want to use the Final Doom levels in the wads.

You would need to download/buy the full version wad file. Sounds like you are using the shareware wad file. Hope this helps :)

Doesn't work for me. None of the add-on mods work, brutal doom etc, and no matter what .WAD file I load (doom 1,2,final etc) it ALWAYS just runs DOOM 2. I bought all the WADs but they JUST play DOOM 2??

+hhh hhh I've had that issue too. Sometimes there are two options to bind reload. Try scrolling all the way down to the bottom to see if there's a second option, sometimes secondary fire works for me as well.

So I got the zdl method working but my main problem is that i apparently can't load more then one version of Brutal Doom into zdl. I have Brutal Doom v21, Brutal Doom Black Edition, and Project Brutality. But if I try to load more then one of those into zdl and launch one of them I get a error that says

Script error, "brutalv21.pk3:cvarinfo: line 1:
cvar "bd_bloodamount" already exists.

Sometimes if I tried to load say Black Edition the load window still says Project Brutality. But after removing two of them and leaving only one it works. So I was hoping there was a way to load all three in and still be able to run it. Help anyone?
