From the interviews I've not seen him say that.
I know he has said he isn't into the studios and what they do anymore, as they don't offer anything that someone could do themselves now.

With youtube allowing people to make and show off their songs/albums and get paid or noticed or allow them to produce their own music via digital streaming now.

The big studios don't have much to make people want to sign up with them now, that's why you get the idols and x factor shows now as it's probably the only way they can sign up people that are only popular due to the show.
