The lyrics to Atrocity's "Gottes Tod" speak of intense pain and suffering, both physical and emotional. The singer describes their head being filled with pain, their eyes swollen and destroyed, and their heart burning in an unending white void. Despite all of this, the singer insists that things will continue on, though they are stuck in a never-ending cycle of eternity. The most significant aspect of this song is the phrase "Gott ist tot" or "God is dead" which is repeated throughout the song.
The second half of the lyrics continue with the same themes of pain and suffering, but now the singer seems truly trapped, their mind becoming a prison and their thoughts twisted and distorted. They describe their flesh falling apart, and their spirit consumed by darkness. Despite this, they still insist that things will continue on. The final line "Der Schlund der blinden Worte hat mir einmal gutgetan" is somewhat mysterious, but it can be interpreted as the singer finding comfort in speaking their pain aloud, even as they are consumed by it.

atrocity & das ich ...einfach bombe! wie "die liebe" nichts-des-tot-rotz ein geiler song! persönlich mag ich metal oder darkwave/goth seperat... aber krull und bru-fan sind in diesem fall eine derart unheilige allianz eingegangen... das grenzt an unbeschreiblichbarkeitheit! schade, das so wenig material gibt!
