Atlantean Empire
Atrocity Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The realm of the golden age, ruling the world
Thousands of warships, ten thousands war chariots
Hundred of thousands, armed warriors
They are near
Shades appear
The warlords are coming
They show no tears
From east to west
People start running
They are shedding tears
Atlantean empire
Eleven thousand and five hundred years ago
The great wealthy empire colonized the world
Temples of gold mounted with brass
Golden paradise, land of dreams
They are near
Shades appear
From north to south
The warlords are coming
They show no tears
From east to west
People start running
They are shedding tears
Atlantean empire
In Atrocity's song Atlantean Empire, the lyrics describe the rise and fall of an ancient civilization, the Atlantean Empire. The song speaks of the empire's golden age, ruling the world with thousands of warships, ten thousands war chariots and hundreds of thousands of armed warriors. However, their time at the top comes to an end as warlords from north to south begin to approach, showing no mercy and causing people to flee in terror.
The lyrics also describe the empire's great wealth, colonizing the world and building magnificent temples made of gold and brass - a true paradise on earth. However, the arrival of the warlords marks the beginning of the end for the Atlantean Empire, with people shedding tears and mourning the loss of their once-great civilization.
In essence, the song Atrocity's song Atlantean Empire speaks about the fleeting nature of power and prosperity, and how even the greatest of empires can fall in the face of overwhelming opposition.

@TheDistanceBetween Really? I thought they made a big mistake by changing from possibly the best german death metal band to some industrial/goth metal. Listen to their debute Hallucinations, the one after that is really good as well.
